Swift Claude Code Framework
v0.2 — Swift Claude Code Framework
What changed
This repository has been expanded from a testing standard document
into a full Claude Code framework for Swift / SwiftUI / UIKit projects.
New: CLAUDE.md template
A lean, reusable project-level instruction file designed to be dropped
into any Swift project root. It replaces the need to re-explain coding
standards, architecture preferences, and workflow rules at the start of
every conversation.
Contains only what Claude needs on every task — architecture defaults,
workflow principles, and a skills index. Domain-specific rules have been
moved out into skills, following the progressive disclosure model.
New: Skills (6)
Each skill is a focused instruction pack that auto-triggers based on
what you ask. Only the relevant skill loads — no token cost for rules
that don't apply to the current task.
swift-project-setup
Scaffolds a new project from scratch. Asks which UI framework you're
using (SwiftUI, UIKit, or Mixed) then applies the matching folder
structure template. Sets up CLAUDE.md, copies skills, and generates
a placeholder test.
swift-testing
Writes unit and UI tests following enterprise or indie standards. Reads
the Testing Mode from CLAUDE.md to pick the right ruleset. Covers
framework selection (Swift Testing vs XCTest), AAA structure, mock
generation, async patterns, and a determinism checklist.
swift-architecture-audit
Audits an existing codebase for MVVM compliance, testability issues,
concurrency problems, and anti-patterns. Detects the UI framework in
use and compares the project structure against the canonical reference.
Outputs a prioritized, actionable report.
swiftui-component
Creates SwiftUI views and ViewModels following MVVM. Handles iOS 17+
(@observable) and iOS 16 (ObservableObject) patterns, loading/error
states, previews, and accessibility labels.
swift-networking
Builds a protocol-based networking layer with async/await, URLSession,
typed errors, a repository abstraction, and a mock HTTP client for
tests.
swift-code-review
Reviews Swift code against a structured checklist covering MVVM,
naming, concurrency, testing, and SwiftUI/UIKit-specific rules.
Outputs feedback grouped by severity (Critical / Suggested / Minor).
New: Reference files
Concrete, copy-paste templates bundled inside the relevant skills.
Loaded on demand — not upfront.

Updated: README
Rewritten to reflect the new scope. Includes a two-path quick start
(new project / existing project), a skills reference table with example
prompts, and an explanation of how progressive disclosure works.
Unchanged
enterprise.md and indiedev.md at the repository root remain
available as standalone human-readable references — for CONTRIBUTING.md,
PR templates, CI documentation, or team onboarding. Their content is
also bundled inside the swift-testing skill.
