To get started with the Pyppin project, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the Repository Start by cloning the Pyppin repository from GitHub. Open your terminal and run the following command:

    git clone https://github.com/jeremystevens/Pyppin.git

This will create a copy of the project on your local machine.

  2. Create a Python Virtual Environment Navigate to the project directory:

    cd Pyppin

Then, create a virtual environment to manage the project's dependencies separately. Run:

    python -m venv env

This command creates a new directory named env where the Python environment and dependencies will be stored.

  3. Activate the Virtual Environment Activate the virtual environment. On Windows, run:

    env\Scripts\activate

    On Unix or MacOS, run:

    source env/bin/activate

You'll know the environment is active when you see (env) in your terminal prompt.

  4. Install Dependencies Install all the required dependencies using pip:

    pip install -r requirements.txt

This will install the packages listed in requirements.txt within your virtual environment.

( this last step only applies if your using the spacy-transformer-intergration version)

  5. This command will download and install the "en_core_web_sm" model in your Python environment.

     python -m spacy download en_core_web_sm
