User Registration Feature (Draft)

🚧 Partial implementation of the user registration feature.

This release includes the initial frontend and backend integration for user registration. The functionality is based on the existing main codebase and includes the following:

✅ Implemented

• HTML form page for registration (with phone number field included)
• JavaScript logic to handle form input
• Backend route handler for registration
• Integration of new .py route files with the registration logic

🔧 Backend Implementation Notes

To fully complete this feature, the following work remains:

• Modify the user model/database schema to store phone number
• Update registration route to receive and persist phone number
• Add server-side validation for phone number format
• Consider SMS verification logic (optional/advanced)
• Discuss database design and integration of these changes in the overall database proposal

🧪 Status

• This is a draft-level feature. The full registration flow is not yet production-ready.
• Next steps involve schema design and enhanced validation.
