v0.1.12
Highlights
Terminal blocks (Warp-style)
- Each command in a terminal is now a block: command, folder, duration and exit status, with failed commands marked in red.
- Block headers stay pinned while long output scrolls.
- Block actions: copy command, copy output, copy both, run again, edit and run, filter output, and bookmark. Alt+↑/↓ jumps between bookmarks.
- Output keeps its colours and progress-bar redraws, and URLs are clickable.
- Blocks survive an app restart.
- Full-screen programs (vim, Claude Code) take over the whole terminal. "Classic" switches back to the plain terminal at any time.
Command editor
- Commands are typed in an editor below the blocks:
- Chips show the folder, the git branch and the working-tree diff.
- Multi-line input.
- History suggestions appear as ghost text (Tab or → to accept).
- ↑/↓ walks history, Ctrl+R searches it and Ctrl+L clears the blocks.
- Tab completes paths.
Shell integration
- bash, zsh and fish (new) report prompts, commands, exit codes and the current folder.
- A nested
bash/zshkeeps its commands as blocks. - An interactive
sshlogin carries the integration to a remote bash or zsh. SetDEVPIT_SSH_WRAP=0to turn this off.
Agents
- When an agent runs in a terminal, a bar shows its folder and branch, a button to open the project files, and a Compose editor (Ctrl+G) for writing the next message.
- A command that takes 10s or more rings the bell if it finishes while the window is not focused.
Tabs and splits
- A terminal tab can move into another tab's split: right-click the tab and choose "Move into split with…".
- A pane can move out to its own tab: right-click the pane and choose "Move to New Tab".
- No shell is restarted either way.
Providers and models
- A profile is now just a name and the command you already use (for example
claudin). If that command is a shell function, devpit reads the agent, arguments and variables it sets, so the profile also works in the chat and on the board. - The model picker shows one line per model: name, what it is for, and the alias on hover.
History panel
- Commits are grouped by day, with a badge for the commit type (feat, fix, …).
- Adds a filter, loads older commits as you scroll, and copies the SHA on click.
Project rail
- Projects and groups are reordered by dragging, and a project can be dragged into another group.
- Removed the top filter, which shifted the rail on hover.
Fixes
- The window no longer freezes when the machine is busy: commands that wait on git, tmux or the shell no longer run on the UI thread.
- The mouse wheel scrolls Claude Code's conversation again, instead of cycling its input history.
- The default Claude Code sign-in stays listed when other profiles of the same CLI exist.
- Enabling a provider takes effect immediately, and the chat picks up profile changes without reopening.
- A terminal opened before the app started switches to blocks as soon as its shell is idle.
