First public release.

WinMind is a Windows MCP server that lets an AI see and drive any app through the accessibility tree (UI Automation) - no screenshots, no mouse - plus 200+ native Windows tools.

Highlights

• ui_tree: a whole app as a compact numbered tree in 0.1-0.3 s; buttons and text together
• ui_act: the app's own accessibility actions - works on background windows, the mouse never moves
• Handles the hard cases: Chromium apps behind other windows (Discord, Spotify, Steam, VS Code), WinUI 3 + WebView2 loops (WhatsApp: 7.3 s -> 0.25 s), web clicks that silently do nothing
• 222 tools: PC health, hardware/gaming FPS, live ETW tracing, network, privacy, files, processes, registry, virtual desktops, media, speech
• Token-lean: ~32k tokens for all 222 definitions; big outputs trimmed with a note

Install

• Claude Desktop: download winmind-mcp-0.2.0.mcpb below and open it (needs uv)
• Any MCP client: pip install -e . then run "python -m winmind" (see README)
