Initial public release of the independent Daft connector for Apache Doris.
Read Doris physical tables through explicit MySQL or Flight transports.
Write existing Doris tables through HTTP Stream Load with load, upsert, and partial_update operation profiles.
Validate table metadata, key models, column contracts, redirects, labels, and response counters
before exposing sanitized write results.
Provide public read_doris() and write_doris() facades with credential-safe configuration and
fail-closed error handling.
Compatibility and limitations
Python 3.12 and 3.13.
Daft 0.7.23 and PyArrow 19.0.1.
Doris MySQL, Doris Flight, and Ray execution are separate optional profiles.
The first-release writer requires Daft NativeRunner and an existing Doris table.
A DataFrame write may contain multiple independent Stream Load requests; the package does not
provide whole-DataFrame atomicity, automatic retries for unknown outcomes, or exactly-once
delivery.
Validation
Ruff, format, mypy, codespell, workflow policy, package build, and Twine metadata checks.
Unit and contract tests, Ray contract tests, and the real Doris 4.0.6 integration suite.
