  • Frustum culling fix. It's not perfect, but now you can look around and see everything around you.
  • Now you can see the thingies that connect your stadium car's wheels to the body.
  • Improved performance. It's nothing impressive, but noticeably better than before.
  • In-VR settings menu. By default, you can press F10 to open/close it. You will probably want to use your mouse to control it.
  • Support for TrackMania ModLoader
  • Fixed weird stuff going on with dual-GPU laptops.

Only tested on Windows 10 with Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop and VDXR OpenXR runtime.

This works with TrackMania Nations Forever and TrackMania United Forever.

HOW-TO:

No mod loader

  1. Download the relevant attached zip
  2. Unzip all its contents into the game directory next to the Trackmania executable (right click the game in Steam, click "Manage", then "Browse local files")
  3. Have your VR headset connected to your PC
  4. Run TmForeverLauncher.exe (or launch "TrackMania United Forever Settings" in Steam), go to "configure", UNCHECK FULLSCREEN, click "advanced", and set "antialiasing" to "none", then hit "ok", "save", then "play"
  5. You should see the game show up in your headset - seeing a proper 3D globe behind the UI

With mod loader

  1. Get Tomashu's TrackMania ModLoader
  2. Make sure it works, launch the game once using it.
  3. Close the mod loader.

  5. Unzip its contents to %LOCALAPPDATA%\TMLoader\database\TmForever\products

  7. Enable the TMFOXR mod
  8. Have your VR headset connected to your PC
  9. Run TmForeverLauncher.exe (or launch "TrackMania Nations/United Forever Settings" in Steam), go to "configure", UNCHECK FULLSCREEN, click "advanced", and set "antialiasing" to "none", then hit "ok", "save", then "play"
  10. You should see the game show up in your headset - seeing a proper 3D globe behind the UI
