Screen mirroring aspect ratio and multi-session fixes.

  • Preserve iPhone aspect ratio during screen mirroring instead of
    stretching to fill the TV. The SurfaceView is now dynamically resized
    based on the source dimensions reported by the mirror protocol.
  • Fix reconnection bug where only the first user to mirror could use it.
    Subsequent connections failed silently because the native window
    reference was released on disconnect. The codec is now torn down
    independently of the Surface lifecycle.
  • Stop blocking the Fire TV's native Android mirroring (Miracast). When
    an AirPlay session ends, FirePlay moves itself to the background so
    the system Miracast receiver and normal Fire TV UI can function.

Install

Download the APK below and sideload it on your Fire TV:

adb connect <fire-tv-ip>:5555
adb install FirePlay-v0.2.0.apk
