YT Short Clipper v2.0.6-beta

This release gives you more control over AI clip selection, improves output consistency, and makes the overall workflow more reliable.

✨ What's New

🎯 Direct the AI

You can now give specific instructions to the AI when finding clips.

Open "Direct the AI" on the Create page and tell the AI what you want. This is optional — if left empty, the AI will continue selecting clips automatically.

Examples:

Multiple instructions can be combined in a single input. A "Show examples" button is also available to quickly insert example instructions.

Important Notes

  • Time ranges you specify are used exactly as requested. For example, 2:00 - 2:50 produces a 50-second clip even though the normal clip duration is 60–120 seconds.
  • "Clip pertama" refers to the first clip in the generated list, not the earliest timestamp in the video.
  • AI instruction following has been significantly improved for more consistent results between runs.

🌐 Output Language

Added a new Output Language setting under Clip Parameters.

It controls the language used for:

  • Clip titles
  • Hook text
  • Repliz post titles

The default is Auto, which follows the video's language.

You can also explicitly choose from 18 supported languages.

🛠 Bug Fixes & Improvements

🧠 Better AI Response Handling

  • Fixed cases where a JSON parse error from one clip caused the entire process to fail.
  • Invalid AI-generated clips are now discarded while valid clips continue processing.
  • Improved prompts to reduce invalid AI responses.

🎬 Better Highlight Distribution

  • Improved AI instructions for long videos.
  • AI is now explicitly instructed to analyze the entire transcript and distribute clip selections across the full video duration instead of focusing only on the beginning.

🪝 Improved Titles & Hooks

  • Completely rewritten core AI prompts in English for better instruction following.
  • Improved JSON formatting examples to reduce malformed AI responses.
  • Improved quality and consistency of generated titles and hooks.

📥 Updated yt-dlp

  • Updated yt-dlp from 2026.3.17 to 2026.08.19.
  • Includes the latest YouTube extraction improvements, including updated player clients and live stream fragment fixes.

🧹 Other Fixes

  • Fixed the � character appearing on the Create page.
  • Added ApiSmart as a new AI Model provider preset.

⚠️ Important: Custom System Message

If you have previously customized the System Message under AI Models, your custom message will remain unchanged.

This means:

  1. If your custom System Message explicitly says "Bahasa Indonesia", the Output Language setting will not override it.
  2. The improved prompts included in this release will not be applied to your custom System Message.

To use all improvements from this release, leave the System Message empty.

If you want to keep your custom System Message, you can add:

{user_direction}

and

{output_language}

where you want these instructions to be applied.
