Apple AppDev Xcode Companion 0.2.1
Apple AppDev Xcode Companion installs the qualified xcode-headless Apple AppDev Workflow profile into Xcode CodingAssistant's separate Codex home. It does not replace Xcode's Codex agent and does not pre-trust lifecycle hooks.
This maintenance release adds:
- a self-contained, signed Node.js v24.19.0 runtime for lifecycle hooks, removing ambient PATH and package-manager dependence;
- explicit Review Hooks onboarding for UserPromptSubmit and Stop;
- qualification-contract v3 provenance for natural macOS and Swift Package prompts while preserving exact top-level owner selection and injection;
- the neutral Xcode workspace fallback for prompts with no authored platform signal; and
- Xcode 27 Beta 5 with stock Codex 0.145.0 compatibility evidence.
The exact build-3 DMG was produced from clean companion commit d668843. It passed Developer ID signing, notarization, stapling, Gatekeeper assessment, explicit hook review, the 11-case Xcode contract-v3 matrix, and the retained 12-case stock Desktop prerequisite.
Quit Xcode before installation. Open the DMG, double-click the installer, then choose Review Hooks and inspect and trust both UserPromptSubmit and Stop before relaunching Xcode. The installer creates a rollback backup before replacing the profile and leaves the active Xcode Codex agent unchanged.
This is a companion-only release. It does not modify the paired public apple-appdev-workflow repository.

Apple AppDev Xcode Companion 0.2.0
Apple AppDev Xcode Companion installs the xcode-headless profile for Apple
AppDev Workflow into Xcode CodingAssistant's separate Codex home. It does not
replace Xcode's Codex agent and does not pre-trust either lifecycle hook.
This release includes:
- a native double-click installation flow for macOS 15 and later;
- transactional backup and rollback support;
- the deterministic
UserPromptSubmitowner router; - the top-level-only
Stopoutput-contract guard; - explicit post-install trust guidance for both hooks; and
- Developer ID signing, notarization, stapling, and Gatekeeper acceptance.
Quit Xcode, open the DMG, and double-click the installer. After installation,
use stock Codex in Xcode's CodingAssistant home to review and trust each new or
changed hook before reopening Xcode. Clean homes require review of both
UserPromptSubmit and Stop; upgraded homes may retain the unchanged
UserPromptSubmit trust.
The installer leaves Agents/XcodeVersions/<build>/codex unchanged. Its
completion dialog displays a rollback path for restoring the previous plugin
profile and configuration.
