Install and update in one command each, and harnesses you choose and install yourself.

What's in 1.1.0

  • One-command install. ./install.sh takes a fresh git clone to a running, claimed instance with its plugins. It is safe to run again.
  • One-command update. ./update.sh updates to the newest release after taking a backup. An interrupted update continues when you run it again. ./update.sh --rollback returns to the release you came from.
  • A smaller image. The image no longer includes pi, Hermes Agent or a pinned Claude Code, which makes it about 2.5 GB smaller. Install the harnesses you want from the Terminal with kyoube harness install <name>. They keep their logins across restarts and updates.
  • Packages persist. The node user has passwordless sudo. Packages you install with apt are reinstalled at every start.
  • Claude subscription connections now last a year instead of about 8 hours, via kyoube connect claude. Connections made before 1.1 must be connected again once.
  • Fixes:
    • Test now works on an unsaved harness switch.
    • Harnesses installed from the Terminal are found by agents as well as by Terminal shells.
    • Public instances allow subscription sign-in and local MCP tools.

Update

From 1.0:

  1. Run git fetch --tags.
  2. Run git checkout v1.1.0.
  3. Run ./update.sh.
