V1.1
Release: v1.1 - Expanded Functionality and REST API Support
What's New
This release brings new features and enhancements to the AI Post Extender by Prefr.co plugin, adding robust support for REST API-created posts, a GitHub updater for automatic version checks, and more flexible content enhancement options.
Updates and Enhancements
REST API Support: Posts created or updated through the WordPress REST API are now automatically processed by the plugin. This means that content below the minimum word count set in the plugin's settings will be enhanced seamlessly, regardless of whether posts are created from the admin dashboard or via REST API calls.
Automatic GitHub Updates: The plugin now checks for updates directly from the GitHub repository. Users will receive update notifications within WordPress when a new release is available, making it easier to stay up-to-date with the latest improvements.
Improved ChatGPT Prompt Flexibility: The plugin now dynamically includes the minimum word count in the ChatGPT prompt, ensuring that content enhancements reach the desired length based on user-defined settings.
Bug Fixes and Minor Improvements
Improved error handling for cases when the ChatGPT API fails to respond, ensuring that posts are not disrupted if API calls don’t complete.
Minor performance optimizations for the rest_after_insert_post hook, improving efficiency when processing REST API-created posts.
