This version contains a large number of fixes and features.

  • Added DAAD V3 (including XMESS) support.
  • Added the DAT5 graphics database format, with new color modes and resolutions.
  • Added proportional SINTAC fonts
  • Added a portable save format and improved multipart game loading.

Desktop and web

  • Added experimental PAWS support (Spectrum), including 48K and 128K databases.
  • Added 8-bit DAAD support for Spectrum, CPC, MSX, C64, and PCW games.
  • Added 8-bit snapshots, disk and tape images, and DRAWSTRING graphics.
  • Added PC DAAD VGA/SVGA games with external PCX images.
  • Added Atari ST PSG effects, transcript files, and scripted input.

Amiga

  • Added DAT5 graphics with 32-color, EHB, HAM, and AGA 256-color modes.
  • Improved stability, loading, and graphics performance.

Atari ST

  • Added DAT5 graphics, PSG effects, extended STE/Falcon palettes, and Falcon
    256-color mode.
  • Improved stability and performance.

MS-DOS

  • Added 16-bit and 32-bit players.
  • Added native CGA, EGA, VGA 256-color, and SVGA 640x400 modes.
  • Added SETUP.EXE to select the video mode and configure Sound Blaster sound.
  • Improved Sound Blaster playback, loading, and graphics performance.

Tools

Note that ADP's command-line tools are experimental and a work in progress.

  • Added ADPC, a compiler for DAAD V1/V2 and PAWS source files.
  • Added PAWS database extraction and dumping to DDB.
  • Expanded DMG, CHR, and DSK for DAT5 graphics, proportional fonts, and more
    disk-image formats.
