Automatic Codex takeover restoration on startup: when enabled, Cockpit Tools restores the last active Codex proxy takeover and visible-model configuration during launch, with a Settings switch to control the behavior.
Fixed
Fixed existing Codex context settings being removed when saving visible models, model routing, or a copied instance: catalog-only and routing saves now preserve existing model_context_window and model_auto_compact_token_limit values in config.toml; profiles that did not configure them remain on the default behavior, and failed transactions restore the previous values.
Fixed Provider Gateway cleanup affecting model catalogs and default models it did not own: cleanup now runs only when Provider ownership state or an explicit legacy Provider catalog is present; enabled experimental catalogs are reapplied after routing is disabled, normal exit cleanup, startup rollback, or watchdog fallback. Enabling an experimental default also records the original model state first so disabling restores the prior value or the original unset state.
Upgrade Notes
If an affected version already removed these fields, Cockpit Tools cannot determine whether the previous values were 1M/900K, 516K/460K, or custom values and will not guess. Restore the original values in config.toml, or open Codex Settings → Visible Models → Manage and reselect the context and compaction preset or custom values for the affected models, then restart Codex and verify with a new task.
