AIWG 2026.9.5 — DeepSeek Harness, shared bundles, and controlled writing

AIWG 2026.9.5 adds experimental DeepSeek Harness integration, makes shared
project bundles usable from nested workspaces, and expands opt-in writing
tools with explicit author control and fidelity review.
Use AIWG with DeepSeek Harness
The new deepseek-harness provider, also selected with dsh, connects AIWG
to the official DeepSeek Harness CLI and SDK. It provides an AGENTS-first
workspace bootstrap, native filesystem skills in .agents/skills/, and a
managed Cordis overlay with workspace-write sandboxing and raw session
recording. Existing operator configuration is preserved.
Preview the provider setup before deploying it:

aiwg doctor --provider deepseek-harnessHeadless execution and streaming SDK JSON-RPC support use bounded output,
timeouts, and deterministic completion. AIWG waits for root and known child
work to finish and drains output before reporting success. Sensitive
model-route values stay out of the checked-in overlay.
Raw v2 JSONL histories can also join AIWG's session catalog through explicitly
authorized session discovery and import. The importer preserves session
topology and user/final-assistant text while redacting sensitive request,
tool, reasoning, and unknown-plugin payloads.
This provider remains experimental and accepts only qualified Harness
versions. AIWG hook wiring, MCP injection, structured question responses,
daemon, and cron integration are not supported in this baseline. See the

Share a bundle without copying it into every project
A member project can use projectLocal.searchPaths to point at a parent or
external bundle root. Previously, deployment could write the native agent
files but fail verification because the member index omitted their sources.
Validated external bundle payloads now enter the member index, default
discovery, show, and managed quickrefs. Unrelated files beside the bundles
stay outside the index, and links escaping an external payload are excluded.
Rebuilding after removing a search root prunes its local index entries.

Start with the workflow you need
The onboarding and workflow guides now give more direct paths from a task to
the relevant capability. Session exploration gains discoverable help,
workflow recipes, and public source links. Provider guidance distinguishes
indexed artifact access from native deployment when a provider cannot load
an artifact natively.
Keep author control over writing changes
Opt-in writer profiles can carry approved samples and scoped preferences.
Structured briefs, bounded examples, contextual diagnostics, and fidelity
review help make proposed changes inspectable. Individual edit decisions,
explicit learning proposals, receipts, and undo preserve the author's control.
Selecting a profile alone does not intercept every provider response.
The release also packages the reviewed neutral-profile workflow and records
voice-evaluation results and limits. These controls and fixture tests do not
establish a general improvement in generated voice quality; broader human
and model qualification remains open.
Additional capabilities and fixes
- The opt-in network-analysis addon supports bounded analysis of saved
PCAP/PCAPNG captures, metadata-first evidence, stable citations, and optional
local Termshark review. - Artifact writes respect the configured external corpus. Fortemi dataset
qualification independently verifies execution receipts and request digests.
Upgrade
Use the installation guide
to select version 2026.9.5, then refresh an existing workspace with
aiwg refresh --skip-update.
