mnemo events publish and mnemo events invoke are integration surfaces for agents that have a genuine native execution ID. mnemo controller serve is normally started by the per-user service manager. Do not use retired mnemo save, mnemo capture, or mnemo session start/compact/end commands; agent writes use memory tools and controller commands. The session exists, obs-count, and project-obs-count subcommands remain read-only checks.
MCP agents can call mem_save, mem_search, mem_context, mem_session_summary, mem_get_observation, mem_capture_passive, mem_update, tag tools and mem_doctor. Pi exposes equivalent native tools through its extension. Memory-writing calls require the canonical project ID from .mnemo and the session-workspace directory; callers do not provide a mnemo session ID.
mem_search can use full-text query, hard filters tags, topic_key, type, project, and ranking hint prefer_tags. mem_context supports the same tag/topic filtering for recent observations. Admin MCP tools mem_delete, mem_stats, and mem_timeline are available with mnemo mcp --tools=admin.
For manual maintenance, mnemo projects merge, mnemo projects rename, and mnemo memories mark-reviewed, mark-stale, supersede, or consolidate-topic offer explicit curation workflows. Inspect their --help and preview changes with --dry-run where offered. Durable Events explains why integrations never write SQLite directly.
