Release list
v0.1.7
Improvements
- Reuse stable conversation history through prompt caching. Earlier long-session verification measured more than 99.5% warm cache-read share, including after restarting Pi. History is still sent on every call; cache reuse is not a measurement of subscription allowance deductions.
- Reuse upstream connections and keep the native working directory stable across calls.
- Bound subprocess writes and exit waits, with improved cancellation and cleanup.
Fixes
- Prevent compiled Pi from starting another Pi agent instead of the inert MCP helper (#5, #6).
- Preserve successful model discovery when Bun has already stopped the discovery guard server (#4, #7).
Verification
Both fixes passed real paid conversation checks together under compiled Pi 1.2.0 / Bun 1.3.14 on macOS arm64 with Claude Haiku 4.5. Six model calls covered a fresh response, a Pi read-tool round trip, conversation-history replay, and resuming after a Pi restart. No unintended Pi sessions or stderr errors were observed. These short conversations did not verify warm-cache reuse. Earlier long-session measurements are documented in docs/transport-measurements.md.
Type checking, compilation, offline startup, helper protocol checks, real model discovery, and catalog refresh with offline restoration also passed. The two compiled-Pi fixes were not verified locally on Linux.
Availability
GitHub and npm publication are separate. The release workflow stages the npm package; maintainer approval with 2FA is required before it becomes public on npm.
