Upgrade notice

Older public releases use a different signing key: uninstall once, install 3.0.0, and complete setup again. Uninstalling removes local settings and the saved custom photo. Recent alphas signed with the current permanent key update directly. Future releases using this same key can update in place.

Compatibility

Developed and tested only on Galaxy Z Fold 8 (SM-F971U). Fold 8 Ultra, Fold 7, other models, and other firmware are unverified; do not expect compatibility.

Known bugs

1. Unlocking directly onto Home may briefly show the underlying live wallpaper before the custom image. A fix is being worked on.
2. Occasionally part of the unfolding fade does not trigger correctly, making the transition appear choppy.

Orientation locking during folding/unfolding remains work in progress; the current implementation is not confirmed reliable on-device.

It uses a separate Shizuku helper thread and stops after 650 ms, a stale lease, lock/sleep, disable, or fresh inner content. It reasserts ON only when the tracked panel reports OFF, at most eight times, then attempts to restore the current system-reported power mode. A blocked platform call may delay cleanup. Missing/rejected APIs are reported while the normal handoff continues.

Visuals, 98° handoff, closed/open thresholds, and rendering settings are unchanged. This does not guarantee no blackout: logical OFF reports can remain even while a physical ON request is submitted. Phone observation is needed.

Validation

101 unit tests passed; signed with the existing release certificate; versionCode 41. Copy Report includes request counts, OFF samples, call duration, cleanup status and the existing bridge trace.
