Argus 0.4.0
New
- Ask several agents at once. Send the same question to more than one agent and compare their answers side by side.
- Add any agent. Bring in any ACP agent by its command or from the ACP Registry. Antigravity is now built in, and Argus can use GPT-6.1 Sol.
- Steer a running agent. Send a message into the agent's turn while it's still working.
- Rewind. Edit an earlier message and put the chat's files back to how they were at that point.
- Creations. Agents can show web pages they build right in the chat and in a new Creations panel.
- Point and ask. Point at something in the built-in browser and ask the agent about it.
- Saved prompts. Your own / commands that work with every agent. A chat now shows the agent's own / commands before its first message.
- Shared setup for every agent. Set up an MCP server once and every agent can use it, including agents you added. Projects' .mcp.json files are picked up too. You can see and edit the instruction files each agent reads, and share one set between them.
- Search every chat from ⌘K.
- Write or edit plans in the Plan panel, and give plans names.
- Live markdown editing in every markdown editor, with a heading outline for long documents.
- Pull requests: comment on a pull request's lines, and have the agent draft replies to reviewers.
- Follow the agent: the Files panel shows what the agent is working on.
- Background tasks: commands the agent leaves running show above the message box, with a stop button.
- Board: archive or delete done issues; a cleaner title bar.
- Sub-agents tracker shows helpers' progress live, including Cursor's.
- Fast mode switch, and Claude Code's agent picker.
- Keep the Mac awake while agents work.
- Export a chat as Markdown, or copy it.
- Compaction: see when the agent compacts a chat, and continue in a new chat from the context meter.
- New welcome: a first-launch walkthrough for theme, agents and sign-in.
- New installer: the download window matches the Argus theme. Opening Argus straight from it offers to move it into Applications and replace your old copy, even if that copy is open.
Better
- Argus opens faster, and agents are ready as soon as the window appears.
- Switching agents, models and chats is quicker, including chats with a pull request.
- Argus reopens where you left off, and the Argus menu has more commands.
- New chats get a name while the first reply is still running.
- A redesigned message box and Terminal panel.
- Themes have more depth, better window blur and more fonts.
- Logos and readable names for 16 more link services.
- Notifications show light formatting, with tidier inbox rows.
Fixed
- Codex commands showing "No output"; command output now streams live.
- Chats getting stuck on "working".
- The agent's status line flickering while tools ran.
- Chats switching agent when you changed the default.
