Bug Fixes

  • Fix silent message drop when deep search is OFF — System prompt included [SEARCH: ...] instructions even when deep search was disabled. LLM would output a search marker, it got stripped, and the empty response was silently dropped. buildSystemPrompt() now conditionally includes deep search instructions only when enabled.

  • Add 60s timeout to LLM fetch calls — A hung LM Studio request would block Cecil's message queue forever with no recovery. AbortController now kills stalled requests after 60 seconds.

  • Add prompt size logging — Every LLM call now logs system prompt size and history size for diagnosing context bloat.

Recommended LM Studio Settings

To prevent VRAM exhaustion on RTX 4090 (24GB) with Qwen 3.5 35B-A3B:

  • Context Length: 32768 (not 50000)
  • Max Concurrency: 1 (not 4) — parallel slots pre-allocate KV cache that exceeds available VRAM
