What's new
Fixed: PowerVR framebuffer crashes
- Fixed PowerVR framebuffer crashes, confirmed by the original reporter on Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd generation, 2023,
AFTKRT/ GE9215). The fix covers crashes during preset changes and while a preset keeps playing. - All Imagination/PowerVR devices supported by Milkbeat receive the fix automatically. Identified GE9215 devices include Fire TV Stick 4K Max (1st and 2nd generations), Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd generation), Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (2025), and Google TV Streamer (4K). On other supported Android 8.0+ TV devices, including Fire TV Stick (3rd generation), Stick Lite and Stick HD, the PowerVR renderer also uses the corrected path; no per-model switch or patch is needed. fix(visualizer): show saved native crash backtraces on device (#97)
- Settings → Visualizations → Last exit now shows saved native crash reports, including captured signals, backtraces and build IDs, alongside Android exit reasons and engine activity. Native reports remain in private on-device storage and are never uploaded automatically. Capture starts when the visualizer initializes; saved reports are also readable before Android11.
- Removed Background compile and Shader binary cache troubleshooting switches after they failed to resolve the reported Fire TV crashes. Both features use their normal enabled defaults, including after upgrading with a saved Off choice.
