Release Version 1.0.0

This is the initial release of our Go-based line counting application. The application scans directories and analyzes source code files to count lines of code, comments, and empty lines. The release includes the following features and enhancements:

Features:

  • Line Counting: Accurately counts lines of code, comments, and empty lines for different file extensions.
  • Dynamic Web Interface: Provides a web-based summary of the line counts with color-coded output for easier readability.
  • Multi-File Processing: Supports concurrent reading of multiple files for faster processing.
  • Command-Line Arguments: Allows users to specify whether they want the HTML output or plain text results via command-line flags.
  • Graceful Shutdown: Ensures the server shuts down cleanly after a response is sent.

Enhancements:

  • Multithreading Support: Improved performance with concurrent file processing.
  • Improved Error Handling: Handles errors more gracefully and logs them appropriately.
  • Version Flag: Added a --version flag to display the current version of the application.

Installation:

To install the application, download the appropriate binary for your operating system from the releases page.

Usage:

Run the application with the desired command-line arguments. For example:

  • To run with HTML output: ./linen --html
  • To find your version of linen: ./linen --version

Notes:

  • Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to read files in the specified directories.
  • For more detailed documentation and examples, refer to the README file in the repository.
