Compatibility
Tested on Joomla 6.1.1, 6.1.4 and 6.2.0 with PHP 8.3.32.
Fixes
- Fixed PHP errors when filtering articles with images only.
- Improved image filtering for formatted JSON, empty values and malformed data.
- Preserved the requested article count after filtering.
- Corrected fallback image and alt text pairing.
- Added support for scheduled featured article dates.
- Added a complete grid fallback when the core Bootstrap carousel asset is unavailable.
- Corrected layout sizing classes and aligned the autoplay fallback with its disabled default.
Improvements
- Adopted Joomla database injection in the helper.
- Clarified the PHP 8.3+ requirement for Joomla 6.
- Added repeatable packaging and regression tests.
Validation
- 34 integration checks passed on each tested Joomla version.
- Browser checks passed for all seven layouts, carousel navigation, CSS delivery, JSON-LD and the Atum module edit form.
Installation / Update
Download mod_jtarticlexpro_v1.0.19.zip below and install through:
Joomla Administrator → System → Install → Extensions
Existing module settings are preserved during the update.
Requirements: Joomla 6, PHP 8.3+, and a site template providing Bootstrap 5 CSS.
