Onsite v0.4.1

The dictation pill no longer clips at its right end; speaker labels no longer split a sentence between two voices at a diarization boundary, and a long unpunctuated stretch or a pause of two seconds is handled as the turn boundary it is; the dictionary matches umlauts in any case and hyphenated entries; the first dictation that cannot paste asks macOS for the Accessibility grant and the pill says what to do if the app is not in the list; a meeting id can no longer name a path outside the meetings folder; a Content-Security-Policy is set on every window.

Onsite v0.4.0

Agent access: a read-only MCP server over the meetings folder and an Onsite command line (status, record, settings, meetings, transcribe), both behind a switch in Settings › Agents that is off until you turn it on; Settings › Feedback now reaches its receiver at feedback.use-onsite.com; the licensing crate, its command-line harness and the activation service enter the repository, but no build reads a licence yet — the app stays free during the alpha.

Onsite v0.3.4

A sharper interface at one fixed size, a larger dictation pill that is never cut off, windows that stay on the display they open on, "Transcribe a file…" with drag and drop in the Meetings window, and a Feedback section in Settings that shows exactly what it sends before it sends it.

Onsite v0.3.3

The interface is scaled to 0.9 so it no longer reads oversized on a MacBook, the dictation pill sizes itself to what it says and animates between states, and the last remnants of the old design are gone.

Onsite 0.3.0

Third release, built and signed by CI from the tag. Same code on both platforms.

Updates from inside the app. Settings → Version → Check for updates asks this repository whether a newer version exists — only when you press it, never on its own — and Update now downloads the package, verifies it against the key built into the app, installs in place and restarts. Settings, models and the meetings folder stay where they are. This is the first version that can update itself; from here on you will not need this page again. On macOS the microphone and system-audio permissions are asked for again after an update, because the builds are not yet signed with a developer certificate.

Speaker separation, measured and fixed. On two-person calls the other person sometimes came out as two speakers, split mid-sentence. Re-measured on three real calls with a known cast: the misfiled fragments and the quietest real participant overlap in seconds, so the filter now judges shape — a participant holds a share of the call or one uninterrupted stretch; a scattering of one-second fragments is not a person. All three calls now come out with the right number of voices. Diarization also now hears the same rescued audio the recogniser does.

Windows works. The 0.1.0 alpha opened blank windows and crashed, and never transcribed. Both causes are fixed (windows built off the main thread; a failed model download or recogniser start is now shown, not swallowed), and every release is transcribed on the Windows runner before it is published. Also: a four-step introduction on first run, the model download works behind corporate proxies, a daily log file, honest status in the library.

Known limits: the installers are not code-signed (Gatekeeper wants "Open Anyway", SmartScreen "Run anyway"); macOS build is Apple Silicon only; on Windows the far side is captured from the default output device; no ARM64 Windows build. Onsite-x64-setup.exe and Onsite-aarch64.dmg are the same files as the versioned ones, under names that do not change between releases.

Onsite 0.2.0

Second release, and the first one built entirely by CI from the tag. Same code on both platforms.

Windows now works. The 0.1.0 alpha opened blank windows and crashed, and never transcribed. Two root causes: the shell built its windows from inside a WebView2 callback, which deadlocks on Windows, and a failed model download or recogniser start was swallowed instead of shown. Both are fixed; this build downloads the models on the Windows CI runner and transcribes audio there before it is published.

Also new, on both platforms:

• A four-step introduction on first run — meetings, dictation, settings, where the transcripts go — reopenable from Settings and from the ? on the panel.
• The model download trusts the operating system's certificate store and the system proxy, so it works behind corporate TLS inspection.
• A daily log file beside the index (logs/onsite.<date>.log in the app's data folder), and every error the shell would have toasted is also shown on the panel.
• Honest status in the library: a meeting whose transcription failed says so, with the reason, instead of looking like it is still working.

Known limits: the installers are not code-signed (Gatekeeper wants "Open Anyway", SmartScreen wants "Run anyway"); the macOS build is Apple Silicon only; on Windows the far side is captured from the default output device, so set one device for both playback and calls; no ARM64 Windows build.
