A bug-fix release of the 2.2 line. It still runs on Java 8, and is on Maven Central.

Changes you may need to act on

  • logback and slf4j are no longer passed on to your application (#105). Since 2.2.1, every module declared slf4j-api and logback-classic as ordinary dependencies, so applications using KeePassJava2 got logback as their SLF4J backend. KeePassJava2 itself doesn't log; only its tests do. If your application relied on getting logback this way, add it to your application directly.

Fixes

  • Non-ASCII text with a non-UTF-8 default encoding (Jackson): when the JVM's default encoding wasn't UTF-8, the database XML was written in that encoding, so a database containing non-ASCII text (e.g. é) could not be loaded back (#104). It is now always written as UTF-8. This mainly affected Java 8–17 on Windows. The deprecated JAXB implementation is not fixed; please use Jackson.

Maven

<dependency>
    <groupId>org.linguafranca.pwdb</groupId>
    <artifactId>KeePassJava2-jackson</artifactId>
    <version>2.2.6</version>
</dependency>

Or KeePassJava2 for all the implementations.
