Welcome to the PyJammer wiki!

Create progressions simply Just type

import PyJammer as pj
jammer = pj.PyJammer()
jammer.play_progression(""Am7|Am7|Am7|Am7|Dm7|Dm7|Am7|Am7")
jammer.close()

and you're done!

To set bpm, use jammer.set_bpm(115) To change volme of each instrument, set jammer.Volume_Bass = 100 jammer.Volume_Inst = 50 jammer.Volume_Drums = 100

You can transpose with jammer.set_transpose(semitones)

Available Drum PATTERNS:

  • standard
  • rock
  • swing
  • disco
  • blues
  • walz
  • ballad
  • etc.

Available INSTRUMENTS:

  • 'piano'
  • 'guitar'
  • 'electric_guitar'
  • 'bass'
  • 'synth_pad'
  • 'strings'
  • 'choir'
  • 'organ'
  • 'church_organ'

For more complete call with all options, type

jammer.play_progression(progression, pattern="swing", instrument='piano', bass_line='none', arpeggio=True, silence_drums=True)

drumbox.py

drumbox.py is a companion tool that just plays a typed chord with pre-selected pattern and bass style These are the accepted keys to dynamically change the loop:

Installation and execution

  1. Install Python
  2. Instal PyGame pip install pygame and keyboard pip install keyboard
  3. Run any song e.g. 'python all_of_me.py
