Caper apps (latest)

Desktop test builds from 755eb55. They use your caper.chat account. Mobile availability is independent of this desktop release.

Mac: open the Apple Silicon (M1 or newer) or Intel disk image, drag Caper onto Applications, then eject the image and open Caper from Applications. The app and disk image are signed and notarized by Apple. If you cannot write to /Applications, drag Caper to ~/Applications instead. Running a release directly from the download or image shows installation instructions and quits. ZIPs are retained for existing self-updaters.

iPhone and Android: open caper.chat on the phone and tap Get the iOS beta (TestFlight) or Get the Android beta (Google Play). Both update automatically when store builds are available; this desktop release does not confirm a new store build. Caper-Android.apk is from this commit. It is only for phones without Google Play: it never updates itself, and it must be uninstalled before installing from Google Play.

Windows: run Caper-Windows-x64-Setup.exe, then open Caper from Start or the desktop shortcut. No extraction or administrator access needed. Close any old Caper copy before installing. It is not code-signed yet, so Windows may warn first: choose More info → Run anyway. The ZIP is retained for self-updates and optional portable use.

Linux: on Ubuntu 24.04 or a compatible Debian-based system, open Caper-Linux-x64.deb in the software installer, then launch Caper from the application menu (no extraction or terminal window). The tarball is for self-updates and advanced portable use, not a universal Linux installer.
