Fixes panic: unaligned 64-bit atomic operation on 32-bit architectures, including ARMv7, when a Backoff is embedded after another field in a struct (#17).

  • Use atomic.Uint64 to guarantee correct alignment for Duration, Reset, and Attempt.
  • Require Go 1.19 or later.
  • Add an embedded-struct regression test and CI coverage for Go 1.19 and stable on amd64 and 386.

Validated with the full test suite on ARMv7 using Go 1.19.13 and Go 1.27.3, plus native race testing and go vet.
