v0.4.2
What's Changed
Unified Key Management
- Auth.json integration: Added read-only
auth-json.jsinterface that detects API keys stored in OpenCode'sauth.json, so users don't need to re-enter keys that are already configured. - Auto-import notice: When keys are found in
auth.jsonthat aren't in sidecar's.env, the setup wizard now shows an import notice with two-phase delete confirmation via OpenCode. - Simplified key storage: Removed bidirectional auth-sync and project
.envloading. Keys are now stored in a single location (~/.config/sidecar/.env) withauth.jsonas a read-only secondary source.
Bug Fixes
- GEMINI_API_KEY renamed: Switched from
GEMINI_API_KEYtoGOOGLE_GENERATIVE_AI_API_KEYto match Google's current SDK convention. Includes auto-migration for existing keys. - Setup window debugging: Fixed
--remote-debugging-portnot being passed to the Electron setup window process, which broke CDP-based UI testing. - Test env isolation: Fixed
SIDECAR_ENV_DIRnot being set in config-resolve tests, preventing test pollution.
Infrastructure
- Automated GitHub releases: Publish workflow now auto-creates a GitHub release when a version tag is pushed.
- Test suite consolidation: Separated integration tests from unit tests (
npm testvsnpm run test:integration) for faster dev feedback loops. - Site improvements: Added favicon and dynamic release version pill to the documentation site.
