Changes

  • Update downloads now retry transient failures, show download progress and verification/installation stages, and notify you when an attempt fails.
  • Added Unix socket connections for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis.
  • Added SSH tunnels using an SSH agent or private key, including forwarding to remote database sockets. Transport settings are saved with your connection profiles.
  • Fixed MySQL database switching so all pooled connections use the selected database.

SSH uses key/agent authentication. Verify new SSH hosts in a terminal first and load encrypted keys into your agent. TLS hostname-verification modes require a direct database connection with the current drivers.

The Mac download supports Apple Silicon. If your installed version cannot complete an in-app update, download the Mac archive below and replace DBX.app manually. Saved connections and the DBX Vault are stored separately from the app bundle.
