Clips 0.6-nightly.16
Quieter recording warnings
- Frame-drop warnings stay quiet after the recorded game closes and while it is in the background, with a short grace period after returning to the game.
Clips 0.6-nightly.15
Reliable capture shutdown
- Fixed a JavaScript error dialog when the capture engine shuts down while status or microphone polling is active.
Clips 0.6-nightly.14
Faster update downloads
- Immutable update archives are now served through Cloudflare's edge cache, avoiding repeated long-distance R2 transfers and restoring fast parallel downloads.
Clips 0.6-nightly.13
Faster, unattended releases
- Release verification and compatibility checks now run independent work in parallel, while Worker validation no longer pauses for interactive tooling prompts.
- The local browser interface can no longer be embedded by other websites, and public diagnostics uploads are bounded to prevent unbounded storage abuse.
- Stable update checks now reject prerelease metadata from the wrong release channel.
Clips 0.6-nightly.12
Update diagnostics survive restarts
- Copied update diagnostics now retain the preceding download trace after restarting into a new version, making slow transfers and fallback behavior easier to identify.
Clips 0.6-nightly.11
Better-organized settings, reliable updates, and simpler releases
- Settings now use labeled navigation and focused Recording, Clips, Video, Audio, Storage, Advanced, and About pages.
- Less-used game overrides, ignored applications, video internals, microphone processing, storage details, and troubleshooting tools stay out of the way until needed.
- Shared navigation stays in place when opening Settings, shortcuts use a compact hover action to disable them, and About can show the full release history.
- The duplicate Editor settings page and internal build details have been removed.
- Update downloads now retry individual parallel connections instead of silently restarting in slower single-stream mode, with clearer diagnostics when a server does not support parallel downloads.
- Release builds now use one guarded, retry-safe command that checks, versions, packages, publishes, archives, and verifies every artifact before it finishes.
- The unified release command now starts its npm-powered checks and builds reliably on current Windows and Node versions.
Clips 0.6-nightly.10
Authenticated application updates
- Application updates now require a valid Ed25519 release signature before Clips downloads or runs them.
- Release uploads now use separate bucket-scoped R2 credentials instead of a broad Wrangler login.
Clips 0.6-nightly.9
Faster recent update downloads
- The three newest releases now remain on the update CDN for fast downloads, while older release links continue through the permanent GitHub archive.
Clips 0.6-nightly.8
Overlay waves arrive with the notification
- Overlay halftone waves now begin while each notification slides in, follow the moving card, and finish after it settles.
Clips 0.6-nightly.7
A softer landing for overlays
- Overlay notifications now settle with a compact directional halftone wave that adapts to each notification, while stopping a recording pulls its red wave inward and fades it to gray.
