What's New in Version 2.0.3
Fixed
On Apple Silicon Macs a fresh install now defaults the forced input to the built-in microphone, as intended. The default was previously found by looking for "Built-in" in the device name, which only Intel Macs use, so new installs on modern hardware forced nothing until a device was picked by hand.
The update feed now advertises the app's real minimum macOS version, so updates are no longer offered to Macs that can't run them.
Device enumeration is now robust to CoreAudio read failures (for example while the audio system restarts).
Changed
Requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. The shipped 2.0.x builds already required macOS 15.6 while the documentation said 10.14; this release lowers the real requirement and states it accurately.
Bursts of device changes (such as AirPods connecting) are coalesced into a single menu rebuild, cutting CoreAudio traffic and redundant re-forcing.
Updated Sparkle to 2.9.6, which includes several security fixes and brings the update window to the front reliably for menu bar apps.
Diagnostic logging now uses the unified logging system at debug level, so release builds no longer write a log entry for every audio event.
