Self-hosted Whispersync for Kobo ↔ Audiobookshelf.

  • Forced-alignment maps (aeneas) translate narration time to exact kepub positions
  • Audio → Kobo sync rides the Kobo's native Sync button, forward-only, one press
  • Kobo → Audiobookshelf write-back, gated behind WHISPERSYNC_ALLOW_ABS_WRITE
  • Web UI on :3005 to add books and build alignment maps
  • One-command Calibre-Web hook installer (patches/install_hook.py, with --uninstall)
  • Prebuilt image: docker pull ghcr.io/jstriblet/open-whispersync:1.0.0
