Bookmarks with long titles now save successfully, and the Go server writes HTTP request logs to the console.
Changes
- Normalize titles when saving through the API, bookmark and admin forms, imports, and website metadata updates. Collapse whitespace, remove control characters, and truncate to 512 Unicode code points. Unicode formatting characters, including emoji joiners, are retained. Existing bookmarks are normalized when updated.
- Log request method, path, status, duration, client address, and response size. Query strings, request bodies, and headers are excluded; feed tokens are masked in paths.
- Log server startup and shutdown, and include the underlying error when bookmark operations fail.
Configuration
Request logs are enabled by default. Set LD_DISABLE_REQUEST_LOGS=true to suppress responses below status 400; error responses remain logged. This setting requires the exact lowercase value true, matching the original linkding behavior. Set LD_LOG_X_FORWARDED_FOR=true behind a proxy that replaces the header to log the forwarded client address.
Title normalization intentionally differs from the original linkding API: an overlong title is shortened and saved instead of returning HTTP 400.
