You now hear about new versions even if you open TapSwitch every day.

TapSwitch looks once a day for a new version, and now and then to ask what you think. Opening the app used to put that look off by another day, so a phone opened daily never looked at all. Now it keeps to its day. Nothing else changed.

You can now tell us what you think.

Tap Send feedback in About and your email app opens a short note to fill in: a rating from 1 to 5, what works, what annoys you, and whether you would tell a friend. The app adds your phone model, Android version, TapSwitch version and whether you are on the trial, and you can delete any of it before you send. Nothing leaves your phone unless you send it.

Now and then TapSwitch may also ask once, with a quiet notice, no sound and no banner.

A screen flashing in front of Google Wallet no longer costs you the payment.

ColorOS sometimes throws its own Access Card screen in front of Wallet for a second or two. TapSwitch used to read that as you leaving, put the access card back, and Wallet then asked to be made the default instead of paying. TapSwitch now waits ten seconds before leaving a card it switched to, so the tap goes through. Arriving at a card is still instant.

The icon is squared up. The two arrows are now the same length and line up with each other, and the arrowheads are a clean 45 degrees.

UI alignment fixes.

The two lines at the bottom of the trial ended screen now sit centred with everything above them, instead of hugging the left edge.

TapSwitch opens itself again after setup finishes.

On some phones, granting the permission means the app reinstalls itself. It was meant to reopen straight after, but that failed. It is now fixed.

The Buy now button opened an email instead of the payment page.

Tapping "Buy now" was supposed to open the checkout. On Android it quietly opened a mail app instead, so nobody could actually pay from inside the app.

It now opens the payment page. Your purchased code still appears on screen the moment the payment clears, with a copy sent by email.

TapSwitch 2.6.1

Tapping the trial banner now takes you somewhere you can actually buy.

Before this, "Get the full version" opened the code entry screen, which asks you to paste a code you do not have yet. The only buy button lived on the screen you see when your trial ends, so anyone who decided to pay on day three had nowhere in the app to do it.

The new screen states the price and the terms, and has "Buy now" and "I have a code" side by side.

TapSwitch 2.6.0

Buying the full version is now instant.

Tap "Get the full version", pay $4.99 US Dollars once, and your unlock code is shown on screen and sent by email. It works on that phone forever, with no account and no internet.

There is a 14 day free trial with everything unlocked, so nothing about the paid version is a surprise. That trial is why there are no refunds.

TapSwitch 2.2.3

Documentation and pricing. No change to how switching works.

The full version is $9 US Dollars, paid once. That was never written down anywhere before, so anyone deciding whether to buy had to ask first. It is now on the trial strip, on the screen you see when the trial ends, and in the message the app composes for you.

The prompt from your card app is explained. If your access card app (or Google Wallet) asks to be set up as the default when you open it, that is that app checking whether it holds the NFC slot, not TapSwitch failing. Dismiss it; the card still works. The setup README now says so.

Which file do I want?

TapSwitch-Setup-START-HERE.zip	New installs. The only file that works on a fresh phone: it carries the installers that grant the permission over USB.
TapSwitch-advanced-only.apk	Updating from 2.2.2 or earlier. If TapSwitch already works on your phone, this is the file you want. Install it over the top: your permissions, settings, unlock code and trial all carry over, and no computer is needed.

Installing the bare APK on a phone that has never had TapSwitch gives you an app that cannot work. Start with the zip.

TapSwitch 2.2.2

First public release.

Your phone can only present one NFC card at a time, so your building access card and Google Wallet end up fighting over it. TapSwitch keeps your access card as the default and hands the slot to Google Wallet only while Wallet is open, then takes it back on its own. You never touch anything.

Files

• TapSwitch-Setup-START-HERE.zip — the app plus the Mac and Windows installers. This is the one you want. It grants the permission TapSwitch needs, which cannot be granted on the phone alone.
• TapSwitch-advanced-only.apk — the bare APK, for updating an existing install or for Obtainium. On a fresh phone this installs but cannot work: nothing grants it the permission. Take the zip instead.

• Installing needs a computer and a USB cable, once. Two of the permissions TapSwitch needs cannot be requested from inside an app.
• TapSwitch runs in your phone's main profile only, not in a cloned app or Second Space.
