v1.0 — Image Square Converter

First stable release, with a rebuilt conversion engine and a more reliable GUI.

What's new

• Subfolders are mirrored in the export folder, so same-named files no longer overwrite each other
• Transparent areas become white instead of black
• Phone photos keep their correct orientation
• JPEGs are saved at high quality with their color profile
• Broken files are skipped and listed in a summary instead of stopping the batch
• Responsive window with an accurate progress bar; you can close it mid-conversion
• Choosing the same folder for import and export is blocked to protect your originals
• Automated tests on Python 3.9–3.12

Image-Square-Converter-v1.0-macOS-arm64.zip is for Apple Silicon Macs (M1 and newer).
The app isn't signed, so the first time: right-click the app, choose Open, then confirm.
