BPS Stat Agent v1.0.0

Production-ready BPS Indonesia statistical data agent with CLI, MCP, ACP, and academic research workflows.

Highlights

  • 63 BPS MCP tools covering BPS WebAPI domains, subjects, variables, data values, static/dynamic tables, publications, BRS/press releases, news, infographics, glossary, SDGs/SDDS, census, SIMDASI, CSA, KBLI/KBKI, foreign trade, and WebAPI search fallback.
  • AllStats-first retrieval with official WebAPI fallback when browser search is challenged, slow, or unavailable. No anti-bot bypass is required or claimed.
  • Academic research pipeline: PLAN → COLLECT → ANALYZE → WRITE → REVIEW with research workspace, state, quality gates, writing, citation, statistics, and QA tooling.
  • Cross-platform support for Linux, macOS, and Windows with Python 3.10+.
  • Security hardening: LiteLLM advisories fixed in lockfile, active secret configs excluded from release artifacts, ACP stdout protocol isolation, Docker/CI smoke checks, and DiskCache advisory mitigation notes.

Verification evidence

Validated before release:

  • uv run ruff check mini_agent/ tests/
  • uv run pytest tests/ -m "not live" --tb=short → 3016 passed, 13 skipped, 46 deselected
  • uv run pytest -q tests/test_bps_api.py tests/test_bps_mcp_server.py tests/test_bps_mcp_handlers.py → 282 passed
  • Focused BPS live smoke → 2 passed
  • uv run pip-audit --desc --skip-editable → no known vulnerabilities found
  • uv build
  • Wheel/sdist artifact inspection: active config.yaml and mcp.json excluded, templates included
  • Temporary venv install of built wheel + bpsagent --help

Notes

  • The built wheel is universal: py3-none-any.
  • Live extended AllStats/browser stress tests can still be affected by upstream challenge/latency. Production retrieval should rely on the official WebAPI fallback path when AllStats is unavailable.
  • For Prometheus/OpenTelemetry, install optional extras: bps-stat-agent[metrics], bps-stat-agent[tracing], or bps-stat-agent[observability].
