@jungmarker jungmarker released this 17 Oct 01:50

Vurb 0.1.1 (beta) — hold a key, talk, let go, and your words are typed wherever your cursor is. Transcription runs on your computer.

Pick your download

  • Mac (Apple Silicon: M1/M2/M3/M4): Vurb_0.1.1_aarch64.dmg
  • Mac (Intel): Vurb_0.1.1_x64.dmg
  • Windows: Vurb_0.1.1_x64-setup.exe (or the .msi)
  • Linux: .AppImage or .deb (X11 sessions; Wayland support is coming)

On first launch Vurb downloads its speech model (150–575 MB, once).

Heads-up for this beta: the installers aren't code-signed yet.

  • Mac: if macOS says it can't verify the app, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Then allow Microphone and Accessibility when asked.
  • Windows: if SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway.

New in 0.1.1: the new bird icon, the app is now just called "Vurb", and license activation sends only a generic device label.
