OpenTask for the desktop — macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Install

  • macOS: download the .dmg, drag OpenTask into Applications. First launch
    is blocked (ad-hoc signed, not notarized): System Settings → Privacy & Security →
    Open Anyway. Fallback: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/OpenTask.app
  • Windows: run the *-setup.exe. SmartScreen will warn (unsigned build):
    More info → Run anyway.
  • Linux: chmod +x the .AppImage and run it (auto-updates), or install the
    .deb (no auto-update). Wayland note: the global Quick Add shortcut needs X11/XWayland;
    on pure Wayland use the tray menu.

Pair: enter your instance URL (https://…) and an ot_ API token minted in
your instance's Settings → Integrations.

Updates after install are automatic via the in-app updater (macOS + Windows + AppImage).
