Switchboard Browser Picker 0.2.1

Signed and notarized

The download now opens like any other Mac app. There's no more "Switchboard.app Not Opened" block and no trip to System Settings. macOS only asks you to confirm an app downloaded from the internet.

The app is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple. The certificate belongs to the Apple developer account of Swagloop Ventures Private Limited, a company I'm a director of. Switchboard is still my personal, MIT-licensed project. The README's Signing section has the details.

No feature changes since 0.2.0.

Install

Download: grab Switchboard.dmg, open it, and drag Switchboard into Applications.

Link cleanup

Links now open clean:

• Tracking parameters removed: utm_*, fbclid, gclid, msclkid, mc_eid, _hsenc and more. Site-specific ones like YouTube's si and X's ref_src are removed only on their own sites.
• Redirect wrappers unwrapped: Outlook SafeLinks and Google, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, LinkedIn, Slack and YouTube redirect links.
• Cleanup runs before your rules, so a github.com rule still catches a GitHub link hidden inside a SafeLinks wrapper.
• Everything happens on your Mac. Nothing is looked up online.

It's on by default. Turn it off in Settings → Clean links.

Install

Download: grab Switchboard.dmg, open it, and drag Switchboard into Applications. The first launch shows "Switchboard.app Not Opened" because the app isn't notarized. Click Done, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. You only do this once. Walkthrough with screenshots
