MP4/MOV Rotate 1.1

@justinnelsonsprojects justinnelsonsprojects released this 12 Oct 14:11

MP4 Rotate is now MP4/MOV Rotate: it handles iPhone videos too.

New in 1.1

  • iPhone / QuickTime .mov support, plus .m4v and .3gp. These use the same internal structure as MP4,
    so rotation is just as lossless and instant. Tested with iPhone, dashcam and QuickTime .mov files.
  • The menu is named after what you right-click: MP4 Rotate, MOV Rotate, M4V Rotate, 3GP Rotate,
    or Video Rotate when you select a mix of types.
  • Renamed to MP4/MOV Rotate. New installs go to C:\Program Files\MP4-MOV Rotate; upgrading from 1.0 keeps
    your existing folder. The program itself is still mp4rotate.exe.

Install

Download MP4Rotate-1.1-setup.exe below and run it (requires administrator rights; Windows 10/11 x64). It upgrades
1.0 in place. At the end, leave Restart Windows Explorer now checked: Windows 11 only loads new context menu
commands when Explorer starts. Your taskbar and desktop disappear for a moment while it restarts - that's normal.

Right-click one or more videos and choose MP4 Rotate -> Rotate left / Rotate right / Rotate 180
(or MOV Rotate, etc.).

The installer and all included files are code-signed by JRN Enterprise Inc.

@justinnelsonsprojects justinnelsonsprojects released this 10 Oct 22:09

First release of MP4 Rotate: rotate MP4 videos straight from the Windows Explorer right-click menu.

Right-click one or more .mp4 files and choose MP4 Rotate -> Rotate left / Rotate right / Rotate 180.

  • Lossless and instant: only the rotation setting in the file is changed, nothing is re-encoded.
  • Works with H.264 and HEVC (H.265) videos.
  • Appears in the Windows 11 main context menu (classic menu on Windows 10).
  • Explorer thumbnails update right after rotating.

Install

Download MP4Rotate-1.0-setup.exe below and run it (requires administrator rights; Windows 10/11 x64).
At the end, leave Restart Windows Explorer now checked: Windows 11 only loads new context menu commands
when Explorer starts. Your taskbar and desktop disappear for a moment while it restarts - that's normal.
