Highlights
- Bounded restriction output cardinality, feature mapping, metadata inspection, and Golden Gate chain work with explicit incomplete or limit receipts.
- Hardened digest and PCR materialization so derived records use validated snapshots instead of caller-owned or unknown fields.
- Preserved circular origin-spanning annotations through restriction digests and related feature remapping.
- Added one-base primer targets, stricter Tm option validation, normalized primer identity, and clearer evidence-review controls at compact widths and heights.
- Capped legacy MSA formatting before allocation and tightened release, connector, mutation, Gibson, and restriction API validation.
Validation
- 1,589 unit tests
- 169 core browser workflow tests
- 59 dedicated MSA interaction tests
- Strict Claude plugin validation
- Node 22 and Node 24 compatibility checks
- CodeQL, dependency policy, reproducibility, release-budget, and supply-chain verification
- Zero known npm audit vulnerabilities at publication
The supported installer verifies the release against the separately published manifest digest before changing connector configuration.
Motif for Claude Science v0.3.5
Motif for Claude Science v0.3.5
Highlights:
- Hardened connector startup before shell initialization and added focused release-review policy checks.
- Guarded sequence editing at record limits, corrected exact-cap PCR completeness, and kept inferred-tail simulations out of materialization paths.
- Added explicit primer evidence acknowledgments, search-completeness receipts, pair-interaction screening, and calculation-condition provenance.
- Strengthened Gibson, restriction, MSA, mutation, and legacy formatting API validation and work limits.
- Aligned Node type definitions with the minimum supported Node 22 runtime.
Validation on the exact release commit: 1,506 unit tests, 167 core browser tests, 59 MSA browser tests, strict plugin validation, reproducible builds, supply-chain policy checks, CodeQL, and zero known npm audit vulnerabilities.
The release ZIP is the supported no-npm installation bundle. Download its separate manifest checksum asset from this same release and verify both assets before running the included installer.
Motif for Claude Science v0.3.4
Motif for Claude Science v0.3.4 strengthens scientific calculations, bounded workflows, portable provenance, and release verification.
Highlights:
- Corrected SapI and XhoI primer metadata, PCR v2 provenance and overlap handling, salt-aware nearest-neighbor calculations, explicit DNA mass chemistry, and condition-stamped Gibson overlap estimates.
- Preserved custom-enzyme cleavage and methylation semantics, retained distinct restriction geometries, and completed the Loop Assembly upper-level contract.
- Added fail-closed work budgets and typed incomplete-result diagnostics across primer structure, cross-dimer, PCR scanning, MSA, gel, mutation, and Gibson workflows.
- Required an external manifest digest for install, doctor, and rollback; isolated connector launch environments; and verified canonical release ZIP structure and version-tag uniqueness.
Validation:
- 1,482 unit tests, 166 core browser workflows, and 59 dedicated MSA interactions passed.
- Node 22 and Node 24 CI, CodeQL, strict plugin validation, repository-language policy, dependency policy, registry signature verification, deterministic builds, and release budgets passed.
- npm audit reported 0 vulnerabilities.
The release ZIP is the supported no-npm installation package. Download it together with the release-manifest checksum and follow the included quickstart.
Motif for Claude Science v0.3.3
Motif for Claude Science v0.3.3 strengthens checkpoint durability, local execution boundaries, validation evidence, and interaction reliability.
Highlights:
- Preflighted Database JSON and workspace ZIP checkpoints against restore limits, clarified active-record JSON scope, and expanded inventory-wide export receipts.
- Hardened external MSA engine identity, minimal execution environments, executable hashing, packaged-root selection, MCP output bounds, and portable paths.
- Isolated destructive restore confirmation from background shortcuts and stabilized high-zoom map, MSA edge-drag, and floating-pane resize interactions.
- Expanded exact-commit validation with MCP and browser typechecking, post-build release verification, accurate SBOM scope, Node 24 coverage, current action runtimes, and exact action pins.
Before installation, verify the downloaded release assets using GitHub published asset digests and pass the separately downloaded manifest checksum file to the bundled installer or doctor. The bundle verifier establishes integrity; publisher trust depends on independently obtaining and checking the release digest.
Motif for Claude Science v0.3.2
Motif for Claude Science v0.3.2 improves scientific correctness, provenance, installer safety, and release verification.
Highlights:
- Unified restriction-enzyme metadata and preserved complete cleavage geometry across serialization and derived workflows.
- Corrected mismatch-aware PCR products, explicit primer-tail handling, bounded candidate enumeration, and primer-pair cross-dimer ranking.
- Strengthened Golden Gate normalization, exact synthetic-vector sequences, feature-aware domestication, and specialized translation handling.
- Improved primer-selection state, responsive layouts, keyboard interaction, and scientific-status explanations.
- Hardened connector configuration, deterministic dependency preparation, immutable CI baselines, repository metadata policy, and external release-digest verification.

Motif for Claude Science v0.3.1
Motif for Claude Science v0.3.1 is a correctness, interoperability, and security patch release.
Highlights:
- Correct physical restriction-digest geometry at linear boundaries, with explicit nickase and methylation-sensitive behavior.
- Strengthen Golden Gate, GoldenBraid, and Gibson planning, including feature-aware domestication and empirical overhang-fidelity provenance.
- Improve translation and ORF handling for IUPAC input, alternative starts, strict genetic-code resolution, and supported
transl_exceptannotations. - Preserve source meaning across GenBank, FASTA, MCP, PCR, primer, MSA, and mutation workflows instead of silently deleting or flattening data.
- Refine responsive controls, scientific-status explanations, translation tracks, and pane-state preservation across mouse, keyboard, narrow, and floating layouts.
- Clear current dependency advisories and add fail-closed supply-chain checks, reproducible builds, SBOM generation, and a checksum-verified no-npm release bundle.
For the supported end-user installation path, download motif-for-claude-science-release.zip. The release also includes the standalone artifact, Claude Science plugin archive, checksum manifest, and release-manifest checksum.

Motif for Claude Science v0.3.0
Motif for Claude Science v0.3.0 is the first broad capability release since
v0.2.1. It keeps the workbench portable and local while expanding sequence,
alignment, evidence-review, and recovery workflows.
Highlights
- Added full inert report and table readers, sortable BLAST evidence, bounded
result and asset pagination, and safe copy/download actions in the Results
Workbench. - Expanded MSA correctness, accessibility, keyboard navigation, search,
statistics, image export, and Sanger evidence review. - Added state-preserving floating panes and hardened responsive pane placement,
resizing, focus, map labels, and compact layouts. - Made NCBI genetic-code choices and discontinuous INSDC locations
authoritative across translation, interchange, maps, editing, PCR,
digestion, Gibson assembly, Golden Gate assembly, and provenance. - Improved durable checkpoint behavior for range notes, pinned translations,
session hydration, browser-download receipts, and workspace recovery.
Connector, packaging, and safety
- Updated the bounded Motif connector runtime and build toolchain; the release
lockfile reports zero npm advisories. - Kept both Playwright packages aligned and retained Node.js 22.12 or newer as
the supported runtime baseline. - Preserved deterministic plugin packaging and included a notice and license
file for every dependency bundled into the connector server. - Added public-safe FASTA, CLUSTAL, and workspace examples plus clearer
guidance for unencrypted Database JSON, workspace ZIP, and generated HTML
checkpoints.
Install
Follow the
Claude Science quickstart.
The release attaches the standalone HTML workbench, the complete Claude plugin
