KeptInFlow v0.78.0
Improved
- Phone remote: in Aim mode a flick keeps the picture gliding and slowing down like a phone's own lists, bounces softly at the edges, and a touch stops it without clicking.
- Flow Step learns which choice you take in each app, so your usual pick moves to the first seat after a few uses. It counts only which choice you took, never what was on screen, and stays on this PC.
- Flow Step: picks from the hold-still view teach it too, and Settings has a Forget button that clears what it learned.
- Flow Step: on an email address, a date or a file, the first choice now copies it, with writing the email, adding to your calendar or opening the folder right next to it.
- Flow Step: links, phone numbers and addresses lead with Copy too, since a click already opens a link. Open, Call and Maps sit right next to it.
- Flow Step: on a plain word, the first choices are Define, Ask AI and a web search for that word, then Copy text. Snip and Capture the whole page are still there, a little further along.
- Flow Step now outlines links, numbers, dates and paths across the whole window, not just the line you pressed. The choices open as fast as before, and more outlines fade in a moment later.
- Resting on any outline points the choices at it. Outlines never appear under your pointer, private windows and skipped apps or sites are never read, and the four-way view still shows no outlines.
- The record offer appears as soon as a call takes your mic, and the app no longer checks every two seconds while you are not on a call.
- The phone remote's picture reaches the phone faster and sharper: the PC hands frames over through shared memory instead of packing each one as a JPEG.
- The remote's picture keeps up better: the PC works on several frames at once and keeps a steady beat.
- The phone remote now uses the PC's graphics chip to make the video when it can, so 60 frames a second holds up. Slower links and 30 frames a second keep the old, lighter video.
Fixed
- The phone remote in full screen on its side now runs the picture to the screen edge instead of leaving a black strip beside the camera. The corner chip and side panel still keep clear of the hole.
- The phone Remote right-click menu for Windows 11 File Explorer now shows the Cut, Copy, Rename and Delete buttons again, along with the rest of the menu.
- A two-finger slide on a touchpad while Flow Step is open now grows its target without scrolling the page underneath.
- Flow Step never asks the AI about a selection that is a bare number, a code or password, or a link, web address or file path, even inside an address. A slow answer no longer pauses Flow Step's ranking.
- Flow Step: sliding back to the middle and out another way now switches to that way's choices.
- Flow Step offers Maps for a selected street address typed in lowercase, such as "4410 maple dr springfield il 62704".
- Maps now searches the whole selected address, with its city, state and ZIP, not only the part up to the street type.
- Flow Step: the pointer no longer flickers to a busy spinner while Flow Step is open.
- Flow Step outlines now sit exactly on the word instead of a little to the right. The mouse trail lines up with the pointer too, and the pin and deck windows lose the same invisible frame.
- Flow Step: on a laptop touchpad, a two-finger slide now changes how much Flow Step is about, like the mouse wheel. Slide down to grow the word to its phrase, line, then the text around it, and up to shrink it back.
- Flow Step: the page under it still scrolls with a touchpad slide while Flow Step is open. The mouse wheel does not scroll it.
- Flow Step now acts on the word you press in Notepad and other editors, not on the open file. The file choices still lead when you press the title bar or empty space.
- The outlines across the window now show in Notepad, which hides its text boxes from the usual reading.
- AI picks now follow the order each feature chose for its options, instead of the options always arriving in alphabet order.
- Phone unlock no longer hangs after an update from an older version, and the app now says why when phone unlock is off instead of asking for an update.
- Turning phone unlock off now sticks for the person whose app this install was made for. It used to switch itself back on at the next connection.
- Turning off Unlock from my phone now says so only when the unlock helper agrees. If it can't be reached, you see "Couldn't reach the unlock helper. Try again."
- If the unlock helper is busy when you turn Unlock from my phone off, the row shows off and says the helper has not confirmed it yet.
- The app keeps asking the helper and turns it off for your account as soon as it answers.
- Administrator accounts on a PC with the User Account Control prompt turned off, and the built-in Administrator, can now set up Unlock from my phone.
- Ask your memory answers "when did I last have it open" with the last time the page itself was open, not a date written on the page or a later chat that only mentioned it.
- Ask your memory answers "how many times did I copy" questions with a count again, instead of reading them as a question about a single fact.
- Ask your memory says it could not find a copy count, instead of guessing from a page, when none of the moments it searched was a time you copied.
- Ask your memory tells its answer model up front when the excerpts probably do not hold what you asked, so it stops naming a nearby figure.
- Ask your memory reads a part of a day, such as "the afternoon of Oct 9", as that stretch of time and answers from the moments on screen in it.
- Ask your memory states the day and time code found for "when did I last", not another one: a wrong date earns one rerun, then a short sentence written from the real moment.
- Ask your memory counts a copy from a chat or page when the captured text came from that window, even with a short text such as a link.
- Ask your memory reads a clock range such as "between 8 and 9:30" as that stretch of time, using morning, afternoon or evening when you say it, and answers from what was on screen in it.
- Ask your memory checks the number in a "how many times" answer against the count it made. A different number earns one rerun, then a short sentence with the counted dates.
- Ask your memory names the specific pages, documents, names and numbers it saw when you ask what you were doing, in a short list, instead of a label like "worked on a project".
- Ask your memory takes at most four recent moments of one window for a "when did I last" question, so a draft open all week crowds out less. A page it cannot tell from newer windows can still be missed.
- Ask your memory puts near-identical screenshots of one page behind the others, so a scroll position with the answer is no longer left out by copies of the same view.
- Ask your memory finds the last time you used a window when its title holds your most unusual word, and adds the app name to a window title that lacks it.
- Ask your memory never shows an answer that is only source numbers: it asks again once, then says it could not find it.
- Ask your memory counts copies from a named window steadily: a copy whose window title holds the place you named counts on every run.
- Ask your memory now keeps to the part of the day you name (morning, afternoon, lunch, late night), and treats "what was I doing around 3:40" as a time-window question.
- Ask your memory counts links by the address in the copied text, each song or page once by title, and each site or app once when you ask how many different sites.
- Ask your memory counts only copied text for "how many did I copy", and tells a desktop app from a browser by the program that made the moment.
- Ask your memory does not count older copies with no recorded program as the desktop app, and says so in a count answer, since it cannot tell them from a browser.
- Ask your memory can now find when you last used an app even if its window had no readable text on screen.
- Ask your memory reads "what was I up to late Sunday night, like 1am" as the early hours after Sunday, not 1 AM at the start of that day, and answers from everything on screen then.
- Ask your memory answers "who posted that video" with the channel or account shown with it, only when you ask who posted, uploaded or made a video, not "who sings the song on a music site".
- Ask your memory keeps every repeat visit to a page when it counts, so a count no longer comes out low.
- Ask your memory reads "what was I paying for parking Monday around 3pm" as a question about a thing, not a stretch of time.
- Ask your memory flags a right first number followed by a larger total, such as "3, but 5 times counting drafts".
- Ask your memory checks the part of a long page that holds your question's rarer words, such as a comment far below the heading, so a fact lower on a page is no longer passed over.
- Ask your memory reads "tonight, around 1am" asked after midnight as the 1 AM that just passed, not a time still to come.
- Ask your memory counts two sites as two when you ask how many different sites, even if both pages show the same link.
- Opening Flow Step no longer turns on Windows Do Not Disturb. Our full-screen overlays now stop one pixel short of the monitor, so Windows no longer counts them as a full-screen app.
- Phone remote: finger-halo and pointer packets that pile up while the PC is busy now fold into the newest one, so a rare stall no longer replays a long backlog of old cursor positions.
- Picking Touch on the remote no longer zooms the picture back out. Only fitting a window to the phone sets its own view.
- The number beside your thumb while you drag up to zoom now always reads the live zoom, like 1.4x, 2.3x or 2.8x. It used to show a level's place, such as "3 of 3", which looked like a bare 3.
- A phone waiting for approval no longer says "The PC pairing changed" when the PC restarted. It takes the PC's new pending key and shows the new code to compare. An app...
KeptInFlow v0.77.0
Added
- Double Ctrl+C now sends what you copied straight to your phone when one is paired. With no phone it still opens the copy in a chat. Settings, Capture, "Double Ctrl+C does" can pin either one.
- On the phone, Home now has a Copy from PC tile under From your PC. Tap it to put what your PC last copied, text or a picture, on this phone's clipboard.
- The tile says "Copied: 42 characters" or "Copied a picture" when it works. It is dimmed with a short reason until your PC is nearby.
- The phone app shows a small monitor icon beside your PC's name in the home header and the remote bar, so a PC and a phone are easy to tell apart.
- Remote control: swipe in from the left or right edge of the PC picture to step to the previous or next window. A panel with the app name follows your finger, and a short chip confirms the new window.
- A phone app help page at keptinflow.com/phone-help with short steps for pairing, adding the app to your home screen, "Your PC is not answering", remote control, signing in from your phone, working away from home, and privacy.
- The phone app's More menu has a Help row that opens it.
- On the phone, pull down from the top of Home to ask your PC for Recent again. A ring turns as you pull, spins while it asks, then says "Up to date" or how many new items came in.
- The pull does nothing while your PC is out of reach, so the connection help cards stay the only message.
- Press and hold an item in Recent on the phone for Copy, Share, Open and Hide. Each does what it does elsewhere in the app. A More actions button does the same for screen readers and keyboards.
- On the phone remote, tap Ctrl, Alt, Shift or Win once for the next key only, or twice to lock it. A small line above the keys shows the combo, like Ctrl + Shift. The remote header now shows your PC's own name.
- Pull down from the top of the remote picture to open the window list. It is the same list the Windows button opens, with a small picture of each window.
- The phone remote remembers your zoom for each app. Switch back to Excel or Outlook and the picture glides to the zoom you last used there, with a brief "Excel: your zoom" chip and a Reset button.
- Send to phone is now a button on every row in Captures, for pictures and text alike.
- The copy pill has a Send to phone button too, so a fresh copy can go to your phone in one click.
- Send to phone now puts the phone you used most recently at the top, already selected, with a "Last used" tag, and shows when each phone was last sent to.
- Send to phone now opens next to where you started it: beside the copy pill or the mouse pointer. It always stays fully on screen.
- Devices in the Send to phone list and the Phone window now show a phone or computer icon.
Fixed
- Ask your memory no longer sometimes shows only the first bit of an answer with no sources.
- Ask your memory now reads "Tuesday Oct 6" or "Sep 23" as that exact date, not the nearest Tuesday, and no longer answers those questions from the wrong week.
- "What was I working on" about a time window now answers with what was on screen, with app time only as a short side note.
- "When did I last" now finds the newest matching moment instead of an older, better-ranked one.
- "How many things did I copy" counts every copy, even several minutes apart in the same window.
- A question about a specific item (like gutters) no longer gets the figure for a different one (like the roof).
- Ask your memory finds the answer to "when did I last" and "how many times" questions faster, because it now reads your history once instead of three times.
- "When did I last have a page open" no longer skips the newest visit just because an older one also mentioned the word "open".
- "How many views did my post get" is now read as a number on screen, not as a count of things you did.
- Ask your memory now says so when it cannot find an answer in your history, instead of guessing, and adds a "Not sure" note when it is unsure.
- Copy from PC no longer says your PC marked a copy private when the clipboard was only busy or could not be checked. It now says your PC was busy with that copy and to try again.
- A copy that really is marked private (like a password) still stays on your PC, and the message now says so plainly.
- A phone paired to more than one PC now gets alerts from every PC, not just the first one it was set up with.
- A phone alert the push service refuses is now named in the PC's log, in plain words, so it is easy to tell why one did not arrive.
- Phone: the message after tapping Copy from PC on home (for example "Your PC marked this as private") now goes away by itself, closes when you tap it, and is a calm gray line instead of red.
- Phone: a second Copy from PC tap replaces the first message instead of stacking, and an old message's timer can no longer hide a newer one.
- The phone home: the text box and its buttons no longer slide up from below when the phone finishes connecting. They fade in where they will stay.
- Tapping Copy, Share or Save to phone on a notification now ends with one big button on the item's sheet. The tap on it does the job, then the sheet closes.
- A notification tap that cannot find its item now says "Could not get that item. Open it from Recent." after 8 seconds.
- Tapping a phone notification now always opens that item in the app, even when the phone restarted the app or a newer tap came first. A button tapped on the notification (Copy, Share, Save, Open link) is the one lit on the sheet.
- Remote control: with the phone keyboard up, the Edit on phone button no longer covers the Smart zoom button, so a tap on zoom always zooms.
- Remote control: a locked PC is no longer asked for its open windows by the keyboard's app shortcuts, and they wait until the PC says it is unlocked.
- Sharing the same thing again moves it to the top of the waiting pile instead of adding a copy.
- Sharing the same thing again while it is sending leaves it where it is, so it is never sent twice.
- Phone: a link hiccup while the welcome is up no longer hides it for good. The welcome comes back when the link does, and goes away only when you tap Later, a button, or Escape.
- Signing in from your phone now goes straight to your desktop, with Opening your desktop... showing while it loads, instead of a ten second disconnect.
- Send to phone no longer closes the moment it opens after a double Ctrl+C. The list of phones now stays up so you can pick one.
Changed
- Ask your memory now searches by meaning out of the box: KeptInFlow downloads a small search model in the background on first start. It never leaves your PC.
- The first-start search model download now waits for Screen Memory to be on, skips offline mode, and retries next launch if it fails.
Improved
- Ask your memory now picks the number, name or date that matches your question's wording, and says Not sure when the answer may be off.
- Ask your memory now answers "when did I last", "how many times" and "what was I doing Tuesday afternoon" questions the right way.
- The phone now shows your PC's own name (like "Office PC") in its header instead of "Your PC". The PC half arrives with the next app update.
- On the phone, Send to PC now answers with a check and "Sent" once your PC really has it, then settles back. A failed send gives a short shake and no check.
- A send kept for later says "Saved for later" with a clock, never a check. The arrow button shows a small count of sends waiting for your PC.
- Signing in to your PC from your phone now shows a moving "Opening your desktop" card while Windows gets ready, instead of a frozen picture and a cut-off line.
- A PC that is restarting shows a calm "Waiting for your PC" card instead of the red help card. The full help card comes back after three minutes, and a reloaded page still knows the PC was just there.
- The "not answering" card is shorter, never slides under the header, and the strip below it no longer says the same thing again.
- The text box says what typing does while your PC is away.
- The Opening your desktop card stays steady until your desktop shows, with no flicker, and the status never flashes red on the way.
KeptInFlow v0.76.0
Fixed
- Renaming something in the Journal changes how every day reads without rewriting your saved days, so removing the rename puts every day back.
- Fix this no longer treats a sentence like "admin means invoicing" as a find and replace. Only a plain name change becomes one.
- The phone's Journal and answers from your history use your renames too.
- A rename leaves file names and quoted titles alone, and no longer doubles a name written in different capitals.
- Fix this never writes over a corrections file it could not read, and keeps a damaged one beside the new one.
- Opening a Journal day never rewrites it by itself, and Settings marks a fact the Journal had no room for yet.
- The phone's buzz setting is now obeyed in Files and in the day view, so turning buzz off there stops the tick on a long press and a day slide.
- The phone app now tells iPhone in-app browsers (Instagram, Facebook) to open the page in Safari, and the buzz on tap can be turned off from the More menu on Home.
- On your phone, "Scan a new code" no longer asks you to forget a PC. It shows the scan steps, and scanning the same PC again keeps its Recent items.
- On your phone, a share your phone would not hand over now says what to do in plain words, with no codes or file names in it.
- In Remote control, the "Relayed" label now reads "Slower route", and tapping it explains the picture may lag.
- On your phone, the "Cannot reach your PC" card has a Not now button. It stays away until something changes.
- On the phone, opening a picture while another item's sheet was still open no longer leaves the picture blank.
- The phone now calls the away-from-home remote switch by the name your PC uses: Remote control away from home.
- The Send to PC button no longer squeezes its words at larger text sizes.
- Phone: sharing a second thing into the app no longer erases one that was still waiting to be sent. Each one waits its turn, newest first.
- Phone: up to 20 shared things can wait at once. One more is turned away with a message, and nothing already waiting is lost.
- Phone: a message that a share was turned away now stays on screen until you act, even after the phone connects to your PC.
- Phone: sharing the same thing again after a cut-off send now works, a lost file can be discarded, and a discard can no longer drop a new share.
- When a shared thing cannot be kept, the phone keeps saying so and never sends something else in its place without you tapping.
- On the phone, the Text size choices in More are now steps above the phone's own text size, so a tap never makes text smaller. Large text no longer cuts off the second line in the file list.
- On the phone, tapping Files, Journal and the other From your PC tiles now connects to your PC right away. It no longer just says it cannot be reached.
- While the phone is still connecting to your PC, the top line says so, and a screen that cannot connect offers Try again.
- Remote control is no longer cut off at larger text sizes, and the top line shortens its words instead of cutting them.
- On your home Wi-Fi, Files and the From your PC tiles now still open when the fast link to your PC cannot form.
- If your PC does not allow that backup road, those screens say they could not connect, with Try again, instead of talking about being away from home.
- The phone's fast link to your PC forms on the first try more often, right after the PC starts.
- Signing in to your PC from your phone now goes straight to your desktop: the remote stays open with "Opening your desktop..." instead of going dark for half a minute.
Added
- Journal: Fix this. Tell the Journal what it got wrong in plain words ("the 2pm call was with Dana, not a client"), for just that day or always, and the day is written again right away.
- Journal: tell it a name once ("Northwind is the old name for Contoso") and every day, old and new, reads with the right name. Your saved days are not changed, and removing the rename puts every day back.
- Settings: Things you told the Journal lists what it always remembers, with the date you added each. Edit or remove any of them.
- Journal: after a name swap, the day says "Every day will now say Contoso instead of Northwind" with an Undo button. A rename just for one day says "This day will now say..." instead.
- Journal: Fix this also tells you when a day could not be written again, with Try again.
- Settings: editing a thing you told the Journal now has Save and Cancel buttons and a length counter.
- The phone app icon now shows how many new things came from your PC and have not been opened. The number clears as you open them. It shows where your phone supports it, on an installed app.
- The More menu on the phone shows which app version it is running.
- The first time you pair a phone, the welcome now offers three things to try: send something, control your PC, or browse its files. One tap starts it.
- The phone's More menu has a Text size choice: Same as phone, Large, or Larger. The menu stays open so you see the text change.
Improved
- The phone app: when your PC says no to a text or a share, a Try again button sits beside the message while your words are unchanged. One tap sends the same thing once, to the same PC.
- When the phone cannot tell whether your PC already took something, it offers no Try again, so nothing is sent twice.
- The phone app: a new phone with nothing sent yet now shows Start here, three cards to send something, control your PC, or browse its files.
- The cards slide away smoothly when your first item arrives.
- The phone app's Home, Files and sheets: the search box, its filter chips, the PC name and a few more buttons now show a quick press the moment your finger lands.
- A light tick in your hand when you tap a button on Home, only if Haptics is on in Remote control settings.
- The search clear button and the alerts buttons are easier to hit, without changing how anything looks.
- The phone app now has a sharp home screen icon on Android and iPhone, and it fits Android's round and squircle icon shapes.
- iPhone users now see the steps to put the app on the home screen: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- The phone app follows your iPhone's text size, so larger text is easier to read.
- When text grows, rows and buttons grow with it instead of cutting words off.
- The phone app: an empty Follow-ups, Journal, Meetings, Saved or Chats list now says what fills it, with its own icon, instead of one flat line.
- The phone app: these lists shimmer while they load, and the rows fade in when they land. Load older shows a small spinner while it works.
- The phone app now calls the remote "Remote control" everywhere, instead of switching between Remote, the remote and Trackpad.
- When you change how a finger acts (Touch, Pointer or Aim), a short line says what it does, even after the first few lessons.
- The phone app's remote: every button now shows a quick press the moment your finger lands, so a tap always feels answered.
- A light tick in your hand when you tap a button on the remote, only if Haptics is on in the remote's settings.
- Small targets on the remote, like Try now and the Edit pill, are now easier to hit without changing how anything looks.
Phone
- The phone's sheets (share, your PCs, an opened Recent item) now slide up from the bottom, with a small handle at the top.
- Drag a sheet down to close it. Pull past a third of its height or flick it, and it closes. Let go sooner and it springs back.
- Back, Escape and a tap outside still close a sheet, and now it slides away first. With reduced motion on, sheets open and close with no slide.
KeptInFlow v0.75.0
Fixed
- After you sign in to your PC from your phone, the remote control now stays on a calm Reconnecting while Windows finishes starting. It no longer turns red and says Stopped.
- A leftover "That did not work" or "No answer from your PC" line no longer appears after your sign-in already worked.
- The first check for your PC after the sign-in screen hands back is quick, so the phone reconnects sooner once your PC is ready.
- The app answers hotkeys, the tray and a phone's connection sooner after it starts. Its helper windows now get ready one at a time instead of all at once.
KeptInFlow v0.74.0
Fixed
- The unlock helper no longer fills its log when it keeps turning the same app away. It now notes the first refusal, then a count, so the useful lines stay readable.
- Phone alerts come back by themselves. The phone app now gives your PC its alert address each time it connects, so a PC that lost it gets it again without the app being closed and reopened.
- Your PC keeps each phone's alert address under that phone alone, and clears out one saved by an old version that no phone could use.
- The phone app now tells you on its home screen when alerts are off, instead of going quiet. One tap on "Turn on alerts" fixes it.
- If the phone's settings block alerts for the app, the notice says where to allow them. "Not now" hides it for a week.
- The locked screen on your phone now says why it cannot unlock your PC, and what to do. A switch that is off, the plan, a helper that is not answering, and a helper set up by another copy of the app each get their own words.
- When the helper is not answering, the locked screen has a Try again button and says to turn Unlock it from my phone off and on at the PC if it keeps happening.
- Your PC's log now names the reason a locked PC could not be reached, once per lock, in plain words.
- "Send it later" is now where you look for it. Type in the box while your PC is not answering, open the small arrow, and tap "Send when my PC is back". The text is saved and goes when your PC is back and the app is open.
- If a text cannot be saved for later (ten are waiting, it is too long, or the phone will not keep it), the sheet says why and your words stay in the box.
- The Remote control checklist no longer ticks "Unlock it from my phone" just because the switch is on. It ticks only when the unlock helper is answering this copy of the app.
- When the helper is not answering, or was set up by another copy of KeptInFlow, the step now says so and offers Set up again.
Added
- When your PC comes back and texts written on your phone are still waiting, the phone can tell you so you can open KeptInFlow and send them.
- The notice carries nothing you wrote. It only says your PC is back.
KeptInFlow v0.73.0
Added
- Inline lookup has an undo. Right after an answer replaces your
<<question>>, press Esc to take the answer back out and get your typed question back. A small line under the answer shows while the undo is on offer. - The undo offer lasts eight seconds and ends as soon as you type, click or switch windows, so Esc goes back to its normal job. If the text can't be confirmed as the answer, nothing is changed and the line says why.
- New setting: Preview answers first (Settings, Inline lookup). The answer shows in a small card by your cursor before anything is typed. Enter puts it in, Ctrl+C copies it, Esc drops it and leaves your question as you typed it. Off by default.
- Flow Step: hold the right mouse button, drag a little and pause, and choices open right at your cursor. Slide onto one and let go to run it. Let go without sliding and nothing runs. Press Esc to back out.
- Up is smart picks for what is under your cursor and in the front window: take the text, open a link, search a selection, send a file to your phone, write with AI, snip.
- Flow Step shows what it sees. A small line at the cursor names the app and what is there, like "link to example.com", "a tracking number nearby" or "a date: Thu, Oct 15".
- You do not have to select anything. Start the drag on a word and Flow Step reads that word and the line around it, and offers what is nearest your cursor first.
- It notices dates and times, street addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, dollar amounts, tracking numbers, links and file paths.
- New Up choices when it finds one: Add to calendar, Open in Maps, Call this number, Email this address, Track this package, and Search the web for this (the word you started on).
- It can also copy just the useful part: a phone number as plain digits, a tracking number, or a dollar amount with no sign or commas.
- A seat that acts on something it found shows that exact thing under its name, so you can check it read it right before you let go.
- What it finds leads the Up choices, so the choices change with what you point at even with no AI. The AI helper now fills the last two seats in far more places, and a seat never moves once it is shown.
- Add to calendar opens a small calendar file in your own calendar app for you to save or discard. It is offered for a clearly written date that is today or later.
- A date with no year that went by months ago is read as next year's. When a date is not in this year, the seat and the line at the cursor show the year, so you can check it before you let go.
- Resting on a choice shows what it will do before you let go: the event, the address, the number or email, the words it will search, or the site it will open.
- Flow Step outlines what it understood on the page itself: a solid outline on the thing the choices are about, a dashed one on other things it noticed on that line. Rest the pointer on another outline and the choices switch to it.
- An outline is drawn only when the app under the cursor says exactly where that text is. In a password box, a private app, or when Flow Step is not sure, it draws no outline and works as before.
- What a copy seat copies also lands in your clipboard history, like any other copy.
- Left is your open apps, right is places like Downloads, Desktop and Documents, and down is hand off: send to phone, snip, note, copy text from the screen, record.
- The Up and Down seats sit in one tidy shape: one seat straight ahead, two even columns beside it, and one on top.
- A quick stroke still runs your stroke gesture, and a plain right-click is untouched. Flow Step follows your excluded apps and the pause-in-games setting, and has its own switch in Mouse gestures.
- The screen is read only after you hold the right button through a short, straight drag up or down. That is when Up or Down choices can open.
- A quick stroke, a plain right-click, and left or right choices read nothing from the screen.
- Reading the spot under your cursor no longer waits on reading the whole window, so Flow Step misses fewer spots and opens just as fast.
- For the Up choices, a short, cleaned piece of what is under the cursor goes to the AI helper model: nearby and selected text, window text, the app and window title, the page's site and path, a file name, and the kind of thing on the clipboard.
- The AI helper is also told the plain word you started on and what kind of thing is near it, like "a phone number near the cursor".
- Card numbers, phone numbers, passwords and codes are replaced first. The clipboard text is never sent, only its kind.
- Nothing in a password box, or near one, is sent, and nothing is read or sent from a Screen Memory excluded app. The line at the cursor only says "a password box" or "a private app" there.
- A box whose name says it holds a password, a PIN, a code or an account number is private too: nothing in it or around it shows in a seat, runs from a seat, or is sent.
- A number is never offered to call or to track when the words beside it say it is a code, a card, a bank account or an ID.
- A new "Your tools" step in first-run setup. Six cards show what each group of tools does. Turn off a group if you already have a tool for it.
- Each card can show what is inside. Your choice is saved when you press Continue, and you can change it any time in Settings under Features.
- Tools that watch, record or remember (like Screen Memory) are never turned on from this step. They keep their own switch.
- Flow Step now understands the word under your cursor in apps that do not share their text, like PDF viewers, terminals, remote desktops and pictures. It reads a small strip of the screen around the cursor, on your PC.
- The picture of that strip is never saved and never leaves your PC. Flow Step does not look at it in password boxes, in apps or websites you told Screen Memory to skip, or in private browsing.
- The words read from the strip are handled like any other text under your cursor. The same cleaned words can go to the AI helper when it ranks your choices.
- Inside a remote desktop window, Flow Step cannot tell a password box or a skipped app apart from anything else, so it reads the strip there like any other part of that window.
- Flow Step works out a sum you point at. Hold the right mouse button on something like "1,250 * 12" and choose Copy the answer.
- Flow Step converts a measurement you point at: miles and kilometers, feet and meters, inches and centimeters, pounds and kilograms, ounces and grams, gallons and liters, Fahrenheit and Celsius. The card shows both before you let go.
- Point at a color code like #1a2b3c and Flow Step offers it as RGB, ready to paste.
- Flow Step now reads amounts in euros, pounds and yen, and amounts written with a currency name, like "USD 1,200.00" or "1,200 EUR".
- More to copy in Flow Step: the email address, the link, the street address, or the date written out in full, each next to the choice that opens it.
- Flow Step can define the word under the cursor, as well as search for it.
- Flow Step can translate the words you select, or the word under the cursor, in Google Translate in your browser. The text goes to the web translator, like a web search does.
- Flow Step can look up the selected words or the word under the cursor on Wikipedia, and search YouTube for words you select.
- Point at a file and Flow Step can copy its full path or just its file name.
- Flow Step now calls an amount "an amount" instead of "a dollar amount", since it reads euros, pounds and yen too.
- Flow Step has a new switch. Turn off "Read the screen when an app gives no text" in Settings, Mouse gestures, and it stops reading the screen in PDF viewers, terminals and pictures.
- Swipe up on the Actions button for a short list under your thumb: App menu, Read this window, Open on phone, Edit on phone, and your three most used actions. Lift on a row to run it.
- A tap on Actions still opens the full list. A small up arrow on the button shows the swipe.
- Pair a new device (a laptop or a second phone) when you are away from your PC: approve it on a phone you already paired. Open the request on that phone and compare the code on both screens.
- It takes two taps with a matching code, so a stray tap never lets anything in. Remote control must be on, and a phone that was itself approved by a phone cannot approve more.
- You can turn this off in Settings, Phone, with Approve new devices from your phone. It is on by default.
- Your PC tells you which phone approved the device, in a notice and in Phone connection, so you can remove it if it was not you.
- A device a phone approved shows in Phone connection for you to keep or remove, and gets no sign-in access until you keep it.
- Keep also waits until that device has closed KeptInFlow, so a device on the trackpad cannot approve itself.
- Send to PC on the phone now has a small More button beside it. It opens the same list you get when you share to KeptInFlow, for the text or link in the box.
- With an empty box, More offers Pick a photo and Pick a file. Press and hold Photo or File to pick one and choose what to do with it before it is sent.
- On an iPhone, which cannot share into the app, every share choice now works from inside the app: type it on your PC, save as a note, open or play on your PC, and more.
- Copy from PC on your phone: one tap on the remote's bar copies what you last copied on your PC onto your phone. It works on your PC's Wi-Fi and away from home, only when you tap.
- Text and pictures copy. Text can run up to 100,000 characters. A big picture is made smaller before it is sent.
- Files do not copy, and neither does anything a password manager marked private. Copying needs your PC unlocked and remote control on.
- If your phone's browser refuses to copy, a box shows the text or picture with a Copy button (and Save for a picture). Closing the box forgets it.
- A slow copy says "Copying from your PC..." and gives up with a plain sentence after 30 seconds. A secon...
KeptInFlow v0.72.0
Fixed
- The command palette's Sleep now really puts the PC to sleep. On PCs with hibernation on, it used to hibernate instead.
- On the phone app, the Back gesture or button inside Remote control now steps back to your PC's main view instead of closing the whole app.
- Back closes what is on top first (the What to show sheet, a confirm, the keyboard), then leaves Remote control.
- Privacy curtain: this PC's mouse pointer is now hidden too while your phone drives it. Before, the screen went dark but the pointer still showed on top and could be watched moving. Your phone still shows the pointer.
- The pointer comes back the moment the curtain comes down, and Windows puts it back by itself if KeptInFlow ever closes or crashes while the curtain is up.
- After remote control ends, the pointer shows again as soon as you move the mouse.
- The privacy curtain screen no longer moves or fades, so it stays a steady black picture while your phone controls the PC.
- Fit to phone now works. Tapping it did nothing before, because the request never left your phone.
- Picking a window on your phone keeps the window list open when Fit to phone is there, so the button is one tap away instead of a second trip through Show.
- When your PC cannot fit a window, your phone now says so where you can read it. The sentence used to sit hidden under the window list.
- The Fit to phone button no longer looks switched off before you tap it.
- Fit to phone now works on Chrome and Edge, which cannot go quite as narrow as a phone. A window that settles under about 640 px wide counts as fitted.
- Removed the Tasks key from the phone keyboard row. It opened Task Manager on your PC, a window the phone cannot control.
Added
- A small tab on the bottom edge of the remote control picture hides and shows the Left click and Right click buttons. Hide them and the picture grows into the space. Your choice is remembered on this phone.
- With your phone on its side the click buttons always show and the tab goes away. Turn it upright again and your choice comes back.
- Phone remote control: the Actions sheet can now put this PC to sleep or restart it, for when you are away from your desk.
- Sleep and Restart ask first and say what you give up: your phone cannot wake a sleeping PC, and after a restart someone must sign in at the PC before your phone can reach it again.
- A restart from your phone counts down for 30 seconds with a notice on the PC's screen, and your phone shows Cancel restart the whole time.
- A stray tap, a double tap or an old copy of the phone page can never sleep or restart your PC. It only acts on a fresh yes to its own question.
- Fit to phone: tap a window on your phone's window list and your PC makes it tall and narrow like a phone, so websites and mail switch to their mobile layout and read without zooming.
- The window goes back exactly where it was, including maximized, when you tap again, pick another window, or leave.
- On the phone's remote control, a window fitted to the phone now works like a phone app. One finger scrolls the page under it, and the page follows your finger.
- In a fitted window, a tap clicks exactly where you tapped, a double tap clicks twice there, and a long press right clicks. Two fingers still pinch and scroll.
- A fitted window stays fitted while you type. The picture no longer zooms in on its own, and the keyboard just makes it fit the smaller space.
- Taps and holds in a fitted window show a small ring where you touched. A hold shows two rings.
- A fitted window hides the crosshair, the pointer marker and the aim and zoom buttons, because a tap lands where your finger is.
- Phone remote control: a new privacy curtain. Turn it on and this PC's monitors go dark behind a calm card while your phone drives it, so nobody in the room can watch. Your phone still sees the real screen.
- At the PC, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to take the screen back. The curtain also comes down by itself when your phone stops driving, when Windows locks, or when your phone has gone quiet for five seconds.
- New option: lock this PC when your phone leaves. It waits 20 seconds after the link drops, or 2 minutes while the link is still open but the phone is on another app, so a quick return locks nothing.
- Lock on leave only acts after your phone really drove this PC or saw its screen. A phone that just connected and left locks nothing.
- Both options are off until you turn them on, and each PC keeps its own choice.
- The phone remote's key row now knows the app in front on your PC. Open Fn and the first keys are for that app, like Sum and Edit cell in Excel, New tab and Back in a browser, or Mute on a call.
- The app keys appear on your home network only, and only for apps with a set. Anywhere else the row looks as it always did.
- Phone remote control: tap Fn at the end of the key row for F1 to F12 and one-tap shortcuts (Copy, Paste, Cut, Undo, Redo, Select all, Save, Find, Switch app, Desktop, Tasks, Close).
- A shortcut tap never disturbs a Ctrl, Alt, Shift or Win you already latched on the key row.
Changed
- Fit to phone is now a small round button in the bottom left corner of the picture, the same size as the two on the right, instead of sitting in the "What to show" sheet. It also shows with your phone on its side.
- In remote control, a fitted window no longer has the PC's pointer jump back to the middle of the picture after a tap.
- With the whole screen showing, the Fit button also works. One tap fits the app in front on your PC and says which one. "Put it back" returns you to the whole screen.
- The pairing dialog now explains why it asks to remove an old entry: a new pairing gets a new key, so your PC can only tell the phone looks the same, not that it is.
KeptInFlow v0.71.0
Added
- Fetch Lens can now mark the boxes it already has an answer for, without the hotkey. Turn on the new setting, click into a form, and a small marker appears beside each box with a sure saved answer. It skips the box you are typing in.
- A marker types nothing and takes no keys. Click one, or press the Fetch Lens hotkey, to open the lens and fill in. The markers work from what is saved on your PC and send nothing anywhere.
- Browse your PC's files from your paired phone. Open a folder, tap a file, and it comes down to the phone. Sending files up from the phone works as before.
- It is off until you turn on Browse files from your phone in settings on your PC. Even then the phone only sees Downloads, Desktop, Documents and files your phone sent. Hidden files and shortcuts stay out. It works while the PC is locked.
- Your paired phone can show the newest files from Downloads, Desktop and Documents on your PC, newest first. The file you just had on your PC is right there to pull down.
- Find a file or folder on your PC by name from your phone. Type two letters or more. Capitals do not matter, and words can be in any order. It looks only in the folders the phone can already browse.
- Phone: the Files screen now works away from home when Work over the internet is on. Browse, search and bring files over the internet road, up to the limit your PC sets there. Older PCs keep working on the same Wi-Fi.
- Phone: over the internet, Files shows the file limit under the top bar, and files over it say to use the same Wi-Fi as your PC.
- Browse your PC's files from your phone over the internet, not only on the same Wi-Fi. Both Work over the internet and Browse files from your phone must be on, on your PC. Files up to 25 MB can come down this way.
- Over the internet, the names of your files and folders leave your PC sealed so that only your paired phone can read them. A refusal is sealed the same way.
- Files you bring to your phone now stay on it, even after you close the page or your PC is off. They show under "On this phone" at the top of Files, with Save, Share and a remove button on each.
- Bigger files no longer crash the page, because they are written to the phone as they arrive. A "Clear all" button removes everything at once, and Forget this PC clears it too.
- The phone can show small previews of pictures on this PC in the Files screen. Previews are made on this PC, kept only in memory, and sent only while Browse files from your phone is on.
- Files on your phone: pictures on your PC now show a small real preview in place of the file icon. Tap the preview to look at it larger before you bring it, and swipe to move between the pictures in the list.
- A folder that is mostly pictures offers a grid view next to the sort buttons. Hold a tile to select it, and the peek has Bring to this phone, then Save and Share once the picture is on your phone.
- On the Files screen of the phone page, press and hold a file to pick it, then tap to tick more, 10 files in all. Bring them all to your phone in one go, with one bar for the whole pile.
- When they are in, Share sends them together in one share sheet, and Save saves each one. A file that fails is counted and the rest still come.
Fixed
- Fetch Lens: the first press after starting the app now answers from everything saved on your PC. It used to answer from the last few minutes only, so a box could show three loose guesses first and the right answer on the next press.
- Fetch Lens: when a narrow box has two or three possible answers, they are no longer squeezed side by side into slivers nobody could read. The answer in play is shown whole, with a count of the others.
- Fetch Lens: the arrow keys still move between the answers of such a box, and each one is drawn in full as you reach it.
- Fetch Lens: the Fill button, the key hints and the notes at the top are larger and stand out on both light and dark pages.
- Fetch Lens: in a narrow box, several choices now sit one under another, each easy to read, when there is room above or below the box. With no room it shows the choice in play and how many more there are.
- Fetch Lens: the note and the buttons now sit at the top center of the page you are on, not over the browser's title bar and tabs.
- Fetch Lens: Ctrl+Z after "Fill" now undoes every box it filled, in one step. On a form that moved when a box was emptied, it used to undo one box and stop.
- Fetch Lens: a box the page was slow to show as filled is now counted, so its Undo is offered too. It used to be filled on screen but left out of "Undo".
- Fetch Lens: a box you typed in after the fill is left alone, and the lens says so ("Undid 1. 1 was changed since.").
- Fetch Lens: that line now stays up for its three seconds on a form that moves when a box is emptied. It used to close with the lens before you could read it.
- Fetch Lens: boxes an undo did not reach because you pressed Escape keep their Undo on such a form too.
- Turning off Browse files from your phone also stops files still waiting to come down. A file your phone asked for is no longer listed or sent once the setting is off. Files you send from the PC yourself are not affected.
- A file your phone asked for no longer sends that phone a notification. You are already looking at it.
- A file with a wrong date in the future now shows the same date in a folder, in the newest files and in search. It still does not sit at the top of the newest files.
- Files kept on your phone are no longer lost when the phone has a hiccup reading its list. If the list cannot be read, nothing is deleted and the files wait for the next time you open the page.
- Kept files now stay with the PC that sent them and no longer disappear when the page is open in two tabs. After Forget this PC and pairing again, bringing files works without reloading the page.
- One kept file that cannot be opened right now no longer loses the rest. It stays on the phone and the row says so. A crash while saving the list of kept files no longer makes the phone forget them.
- Phone: after KeptInFlow restarted on the PC, the first files you brought from Files never arrived and the row said "Sent to your Recent list." They arrive now, one at a time or several together.
- Phone: a file that is slow to arrive stays on its row in Files. The row says "Still coming from your PC." and ends with Save and Share, or after a minute with Try again.
- Phone: a file brought through Files no longer leaves a second row with a Download button in Recent. When several are brought and one fails, its row is marked and scrolled into view, and the summary says "1 did not arrive."
- Phone Files: swiping between pictures in the preview now keeps showing each picture instead of an icon.
- Phone Files: a picture preview that failed because the connection hiccuped is tried again on its own, a few times, instead of staying an icon.
- Phone Files: the preview box keeps one size, so the arrow buttons stay put as you swipe.
- Phone Files: file names line up the same in every row, with no sideways jump when previews turn on.
- Phone Files: the picture grid lists folders first, then pictures, then other files, so no lone tile sits among the pictures.
- Picture previews on your phone's Files screen no longer make this PC download pictures that live only in OneDrive. Those pictures now show no preview until they are on this PC.
- Files on your phone: a Share that could not start no longer does nothing. The row tells you, and a file your phone will not share is saved instead. Pictures and files in Recent do the same.
- Files on your phone: Save and Share keep working on a file you brought down, as many times as you like and in either order. The last five files stay ready while you move between folders.
- When your phone has let go of a file you brought down, its row says so and offers to bring it again.
- On the Files screen of the phone page, search now says when your PC did not look in every folder, and only says "Showing the best 100" when it really cut the list.
- A ticked file stays ticked while you pick, and the Share and Save counts always match the files really on your phone. A file asked for keeps coming if you open another folder.
- The footer no longer repeats unrelated status messages, a link blip no longer downloads a file twice, and old Recent rows no longer tell you to send a file again when your PC cannot.
- On the phone page, the open three-dot menu now stands out in dark mode: a lighter panel with an edge and a deeper shadow, and the page behind it is dimmed.
- Phone: a tap outside the open menu only closes the menu. It no longer also presses whatever was under your finger.
- Phone remote control: a pinch now starts zooming the picture sooner, with a smaller catch-up, when you add a second finger while dragging. Two-finger scrolling is read exactly as before.
- A file left waiting on your PC before it restarted no longer shows a Download button that cannot work. The row says to send it again, and a restart is noticed while the page is open.
- In Files, a file still waiting when your PC restarted now says "Your PC restarted. Try again."
- A small picture in the Inbox opens every time. It used to say "This picture could not be opened" on about every other click, though the picture was fine and still on your PC.
Changed
- The File button on the phone page opens your phone's full file picker, with thumbnails and file types, where the browser has one. Other browsers keep the plain chooser.
- A file you pick in Files on your phone can now be up to 1 GB on the same Wi-Fi, up from 100 MB. Over the internet the limit is still 25 MB.
- A file you send to your phone from your PC still goes up to 100 MB, which is what the phone's home screen can hold.
- A file too big for the connection your phone is on is still listed. Asking for it tells you the limit for that connection.
- If a phone is removed, or a setting is turned off, while your PC is still reading a folder, that...
KeptInFlow v0.70.0
Added
- Control your apps: the AI can now triple-click to select a whole line or paragraph, and hold down a key for up to ten seconds.
- Control your apps: a held key is let go the moment you touch the keyboard or mouse, pause agent control, or another window comes to the front.
- Control your apps: the AI can press and hold the mouse button, do something else, then let go, for drags that need more than one step.
- Control your apps: the AI can hold Shift or Ctrl through such a drag, so it can copy by dragging or extend a selection.
- Control your apps: a drag never waits on you with the button held. If the next step needs your OK, or you are using the PC, the app lets the button go and tells the AI.
- Control your apps: if a run ends while the mouse button is held, the app lets it go and tells the AI.
- Control your apps: the AI can zoom in on part of the last screenshot by pointing at it, instead of working out screen positions.
- Fetch Lens: press a number key to fill the box wearing that number, so you can fill a whole form without reaching for the mouse.
- Fetch Lens: press Enter to fill every answer it is sure about, and Ctrl+Z to undo what it just filled.
- Fetch Lens: pick a choice with the arrow keys, or rest on it, and a line at the top of the lens says where the value came from, when you saw it, and how often.
- Fetch Lens: a box can now offer up to three choices, and it marks the one you picked last time with "Your pick".
- Fetch Lens: hold Alt+Shift+2 and every empty box on the window in front shows the value this PC already holds for it. Let go and it disappears.
- With AI help, any line that asks you for something, like "Can you send me your policy number?", gets the answer right under it. The Free plan shows box answers only.
- Tap the key instead to keep the answers open, then click one. A box answer fills the box. An answer under a line of text is copied, and the chip says Copied.
- They hide when you scroll or switch apps.
- Cards and tax ids show only their last four digits, and Fetch Lens only quotes values already on this PC.
- The phone remote's pad now says "Go full screen to turn sideways" when you turn the installed app on its side, and tapping the words goes full screen.
- Phone: a new Type it on my PC button. Photograph a page of paper and the words are typed into the text box you clicked on your PC.
- You can take a new photo or pick one you already have.
- If no box is safe to type into, the words are copied to your PC clipboard instead, so you can paste them.
- Words with line breaks are typed only into ordinary text boxes and documents. In a console window or a known code editor they are copied instead. A terminal in a web page or in a lesser-known app can look like a text box, so check your cursor first.
- It works on your home Wi-Fi and on a direct connection to your PC, not over the internet relay.
- Typing needs Remote control switched on in Phone settings.
- Send Check is the new name of the small pill that catches the wrong client in an email. It has a new warning too.
- It tells you when the weekday you wrote does not match the date, like "Oct 9 is a Friday, not a Tuesday".
- One switch in Settings under Clipboard turns Send Check on or off.
- Send Check works without a client list. It only warns, it never changes your email.
- Remembered names are now kept when you turn Send Check off, so it works right away when you turn it back on.
- The weekday warning is now a smaller card that follows your theme. It shows the wrong day crossed out beside the right one.
- Catch the wrong client in an email: while you write to one client and the draft names a different one, a small pill warns you before you send.
- The pill only warns. It never changes your email. It also looks at attachment names, but only in desktop mail apps.
- Gmail shows only a person's name, so the catch matches by name there. It learns which address goes with a name when it sees both.
- Those names stay on this PC. Switching the catch off keeps them. They are deleted when you remove that client.
- Turn it off in Settings under Clipboard, in Files and codes.
Fixed
- Control your apps: very large screenshots are now sized so the AI can always read them, instead of being refused.
- Control your apps: a click aimed outside the last picture is now refused with a clear message, instead of landing in the wrong place.
- Control your apps: when a multi-step run stops early, the report now says which steps were not run.
- Control your apps: a control picked from an earlier read no longer lands on a control that only shares its name or id. If it has gone or changed its name, the step stops and asks the AI to read the window again.
- Before, when that control was gone, the step could land on a different control with the same name, such as the Delete button of the next row.
- Tapping "Go full screen to turn sideways" on the phone pad now goes full screen.
- A quick tap on the Click mode button right after zooming no longer clicks on the PC.
- Choosing a photo for Type it on my PC no longer answers "Wait for the current send to finish" when nothing was sending.
- Voice commands with on-device speech no longer lose what you said when you pause mid-sentence and keep talking. Two listens were sharing one audio file, so the full sentence came back empty and nothing happened.
- When Keep listening stops before a sentence you already said could run, the voice command log now says so instead of going quiet.
- On-device speech now retries once when its audio file cannot be read, so one bad piece no longer fails a whole meeting. Leftover speech files from a crash are cleaned up at start.
Changed
- The phone's home screen is calmer. Remote control and Actions are now two equal tiles right above one send card that holds the text box, Paste, Photo, File, Type it and Send to PC.
- One status line sits under the send card. It speaks only when there is news: a result, a lost link with Try now, or what Type it is doing.
- The always-on help lines are gone. If Remote control is off on your PC, Type it says so in the status line instead.
- On the phone, Recent is its own card at the top with your last three items, newest first. See all opens the rest in place, and Show less folds it back.
- On the phone, the first tap on Type it says to click in a box on your PC first, and the next tap opens the camera. After one good try it goes straight to the camera.
- The phone's remote screen now zooms in to 8x, up from 4x. Pinching and sliding the Smart zoom button both reach it. The one-tap fit still stops where it did.
- On the phone remote screen, holding the Smart zoom button and sliding your finger up now zooms in, and sliding down zooms out.
- While you hold the Smart zoom button, a small plus above it and minus below it show that up zooms in and down zooms out.
- The zoom number now follows your finger while you slide, beside it and never under your thumb, so you can always read it.
- The Click mode button now sits right under the Smart zoom button, and it fades away while you zoom so it never gets in the way of the slide.
- Letting go of a zoom slide over the Click mode button no longer presses it.
KeptInFlow v0.69.0
Changed
- AI Included is now listed first wherever plans are offered, then Pro, then staying on Free. This includes the trial-ended screen and the plans panel.
- The time-away card now only appears if you bill for your time. With "I bill for my time" off, or no client yet, coming back to your PC no longer asks anything.
- The notes about a drafted repeating bill and a late payment also stay quiet while "I bill for my time" is off. Nothing is deleted, and they come back when you turn it on.
- With "I bill for my time" off, Home no longer lists late bills, draft bills or receipts to add as costs, and the tray menu and the palette drop their timer and billing rows. Clients and Settings stay, so you can turn it back on.
- Settings now says when "Ask about time away" is waiting on billing, with a link to the switch, instead of showing a toggle that does nothing.
- Making new billing records is part of Pro, as the site says: a new quote, accepting a quote (it makes a bill), a new cost, a Harvest import, a new timesheet line, starting the timer, and a new or run repeating bill.
- Everything you already made stays yours on the free plan. You can still open, change, send, export, print and delete your quotes, bills, costs and hours.
- A timer that is already running can always be stopped, and its time is saved, on any plan.
- Drafting a timesheet from Journal days you already have still works on the free plan.
- On the free plan the buttons that make something new now open the plans before a form opens, so nothing is filled in and then refused.
- On the free plan each repeating bill says it is on hold until Pro. Nothing is lost: it picks up again when you go Pro.
- Translate no longer always writes English. Text that is already in your language is translated into English, so one action reads a foreign page and helps you answer it.
- Copies that an app marks as "do not keep in clipboard history" are now skipped, along with the ones marked "do not monitor" that were skipped before.
- The Translate action in your Library starts with your language filled in. Type another to use it once.
- Pictures in clipboard history stop at the newest 500 at every history size, because each one is stored in full.
- Recording your screen is now free, in both formats: Share (a GIF that pastes anywhere) and Present (a video with sound). The Studio look, click zoom, the webcam bubble and Record steps stay part of Pro.
- Dictate anywhere is now free for 2,000 words a week, and unlimited with Pro or the AI plan. Free dictation runs on the free speech model on this PC, or on your own speech key if you have one.
- The free week starts with your first dictated word and comes back seven days later. If you run out, the pill tells you the day your words return, and a tap shows the plans.
- When fewer than 400 free words are left, the dictation pill says how many. The rest of the time it stays out of the way.
- Dictation cleanup (the AI tidy-up pass) works on every plan. On the free plan it runs on your own key, or counts as one of your free AI actions each time.
- Home's chart of today is now one row per client or thread of work, biggest first: its name, a strip of the day showing when you worked on it, and its total. A gap such as lunch reads as an empty column.
- With more than five things in a day, the four biggest keep a row and the rest fold into a quiet "N more" row at the bottom.
- Home's bottom strip no longer has a second Settings gear. Settings stays in the sidebar, where it is on every page.
- This week on Home now names what you worked on, with the time beside each (like "App release 1.4 h"). Click a name to jump to that stretch in the Journal.
- Each day row now shows an arrow, so it is clear the row opens the Journal.
- A live tile now has a See through button, like a pinned image. Click it to fade the tile so you can see what is behind it, and click again to make it solid.
- One word for putting something off: "Later" on Home's Needs you rows and in the update window, and "Skip for now" and "I'll do this later" in setup, now all say Not now.
- Phone remote: the dot in the middle of the crosshair now fades away when nothing is moving, so you can see the pointer and what is under it. It comes right back when you move or click.
- Phone remote: holding the zoom button and sliding now zooms smoothly with your thumb. Let go anywhere and the picture stays at exactly that zoom.
- Slide close to a window or a part of it and the zoom snaps onto it with a small tick, so a tidy fit is still easy to land on.
- When your AI actions for the month are used up, you now see what happened and when they come back, with every way to keep going on one list: AI Included, your own API key, or the free model on this PC.
- Tapping a "Free actions used up" pill opens that same list on Home. In a chat it appears right under your question, which stays where it was.
- The screen you see once when your trial ends now says what stays free, what stops, and gives three equal choices: Pro, AI Included, or Stay on Free.
- Pro costs less: $99 with a year of updates (was $149), and another year of updates is $39 (was $59).
- The plans panel shows one price and says what comes next: $59 for the first 100 buyers, then $79, then $99. No crossed-out price.
- The Record this meeting prompt has a third answer, "Don't record", for a call you do not want recorded. It applies to that call only. The next call asks again.
- A bill notice is marked as read when you press Open or Done. Its X says Not now.
- Present (video) recordings are now smooth by default: 30 frames a second, up from 10. If you had picked a frame rate yourself, it is kept.
- Share (GIF) and Present recordings each keep their own frame rate. GIFs stay at 10 by default, so they remain small enough to paste.
- Frame rate in Settings, Recording is now three plain choices (Light, Smooth, Extra smooth) with a note on file size, in place of a number box.
- Select text now shows what you can pick: every word it found gets a faint underline, and the outline of the area you captured stays on screen so you can see where it ends.
- After you pick words, a Copy button appears at the end of your selection (Ctrl+C still works). When the words are a web address, Open link sits beside it.
- Copying picked words now says how many were copied and closes the capture, instead of leaving it sitting there.
- Sync now carries your saved chats and your Journal days. Start a chat on one PC and it is on the other; delete it on one and it goes from both.
- A Journal day written up on two PCs shows the newest write-up on both.
- Your Downloads smart folders follow you too. A smart folder made on each PC is kept on both.
Fixed
- Accepting a quote made a bill on the free plan, and repeating bills kept making bills after a trial ended. Both now wait for Pro.
- Undoing a deleted or moved timesheet line still works after a trial ends.
- KeptInFlow could close by itself when two parts of it read the clipboard at the same moment, most often right after a quick double copy. They now take turns, so the app stays open.
- Copying a file together with its path no longer risks a crash when the path could not be added to the clipboard.
- The fill-in form's calendar draws only the weeks the month needs, the form is fully solid, and a quiet line shows Tab, Enter and Esc. Dropdown arrows stay visible on every row.
- Deleting an expansion in Settings now offers Undo and selects nothing, so a second click cannot delete another one. The saved-keystrokes line refreshes after deletes, imports and when you return.
- Settings no longer shows the time-away switch to people who do not bill. For people who do, its hint says the card asks which client a break belongs to.
- Fetch: an offer you leave unanswered now rests until you go somewhere else and click back into the box. It no longer depends on how long you waited, and it never pops up again while you stay in the box or type in it.
- Fetch: going to any other box or window counts as leaving, so clicking back into a box brings its offer back every time. An offer you closed with the X or Escape still stays gone for that box.
- Home: Hours today now shows the whole name of each piece of work. Names were cut at 16 letters, so two rows that started the same way could not be told apart. A wide window gives the chart more room too.
- Home: Hours today counts active time, the same way This week does, so the two no longer disagree. Breaks inside a stretch of work are not counted as hours worked.
- Home: the hour labels sit right under the last row of Hours today. A day with two rows no longer leaves a hole in the chart.
- The hours beside each day on Home counted breaks, so a 3.6 hour day could read 11.7 h. They now show active time, like "3.6 h active".
- Journal: a day written up on your other PC no longer says more was captured after its summary when nothing new was seen on this one. It asks to be written again only once this PC has seen something newer.
- Journal: pressing Summarize on a day that came from your other PC no longer replaces that PC's write-up when this PC has nothing new to add.
- Live tile: the first letter at the left edge of the picture is no longer cut off, and the bottom corners are no longer trimmed. The tile keeps its outline, which now sits around the picture instead of on top of it.
- Live tiles: with Interact on, the mouse wheel scrolls the real window as soon as the pointer is over the tile, with no click first. Every notch counts, whatever Windows is set to scroll for one.
- "Not now" on the meeting page's "Transcribe on this PC?" offer no longer hides it for good. It comes back the next morning. A separate "Don't offer again" is there if you mean never.
- "Not now" on a timesheet entry's "Looks like two clients" offer now brings the offer back in two hours instead of never. "Don't ask again" turns it off for that one entry.
- "Not now" on a journal write-up that stopped part wa...
