Keep current screen while TTS is playing #153

Hi, I was wondering whether this is already possible or if it would require a new feature. Is there currently a way to play TTS in the background without switching the screen to the music icon? If not, would it be possible to add such an option? Alternatively, a dedicated TTS-oriented screen could also be useful. Thanks! |

Hello, I really dont understand what you mean. Could you provide screenshots of the behavior you mentioned? Also, arent you using Voice Satellite as well for TTS announcements? |

I mean that when I use the tts.speak action with the DLNA media player entity, the screen switches to the one shown below (screenshot attached). I haven't tried Voice Satellite yet. Is Voice Satellite a better way to handle TTS announcements?

If you have an Assist pipeline already working then yes, do use Voice Satellite. |

Actually I just added a new toggle inside the DLNA Renderer settings that will allow you to play audio in the background. It will be available in the next release.
