Release list
Voltex 3.0.0
Voltex 3.0.0
The biggest update so far. Voltex now has a real late game: ten multiblock machines built from ports, nanites you breed and put to work, an Industrial Miner, two energy weapons and a final trophy to craft. Every base machine got a new look, recipes were rebuilt into one clear progression, and the guide was rewritten from scratch.

Back up your world before updating. No blocks or items were removed, but many existing recipes changed. Resource packs that retexture Voltex machines, cables, hubs, crates or barrels will need an update.
Late-game multiblocks
late_multiblocks.mp4
Ten new machines, each with its own fixed shape. Build the casing around a core and the machine forms. The Structure Wand places the missing blocks for you: from your inventory in survival, for free in creative.
- Tier 1, built from Multiblock Casing and Structural Glass: Industrial Crusher, Industrial Furnace, Industrial Compressor, Industrial Rolling Mill, Industrial Ore Washer, Industrial Assembler, Industrial Fluid Enricher.
- Tier 2, built from Advanced Multiblock Casing and Advanced Structural Glass: Industrial Liquefier, Industrial Blast Furnace, Industrial Electromagnet.
- A late machine runs 64 operations per cycle. Mechanism Blocks inside the structure can be swapped for upgrade blocks: Parallel Block I, II, III (+16, +32, +64 parallel), Speed Block and Energy Efficiency Block.
- Several machines have an Industrial mode that runs recipes the small machines can't.
- The Industrial Assembler is a new kind of machine: many items and one fluid in, one result out. Most late cores are made in it.
- Every late machine has its own JEI tab.
Ports and ME integration
ports.mp4
Late machines have no slots of their own. Everything goes through ports placed in the casing.
- Input Port and Output Port carry items, fluids or both, and push and pull on their own.
- Energy Connector takes FE. Heat Port feeds the Industrial Liquefier and the Industrial Blast Furnace.
- Port Upgrade and Advanced Port Upgrade raise capacity: 9, 18 or 27 slots, 16, 64 or 256 buckets, 1M, 10M or 100M FE.
- With Applied Energistics 2 installed: the ME Input Port keeps chosen amounts stocked from your network, the ME Output Port sends results straight into it, and the ME Pattern Port is a pattern provider built into the machine. AE2 is optional, and without it these three can't be crafted.
Nanites
nanites.mp4
Breed nanite strains in the Evolution Chamber. A strain adapts to what you feed it over many generations. Heat speeds it up but costs stability.
- What a strain eats first decides its class. Miners work in the Industrial Miner, Processors in the Ore Washer and the Industrial Ore Washer, Scientists in the new Nanite Lab.
- The Nanite Lab writes Data Cards: Crystallography, Cryophysics, Matter and Stellar Physics. Late recipes need them.
- Strains wear out with use, so keep a breeding line running.
- Every strain you obtain is recorded in the Species Atlas, a new tab in the Information Panel, with bronze, silver and gold marks. A few rare species only appear under special conditions.
Industrial Miner
industrial_miner.mp4
- A 5×5×6 multiblock with its own animated model: a rotating drill, a pulsing ring and a mast with a dish.
- Place Drill Beacons anywhere. A beacon scans a 3×3 chunk area for ores; you choose the depth layer in its window, and a lens picks the dimension. Link up to 4 beacons to one miner.
- Mining is virtual: the beacon's chunks don't need to be loaded, and the ore stays in the ground.
- Runs on FE and drill fluid, fills 27 output slots and pushes into adjacent inventories. Holds a Miner nanite strain.
Electromagnet
electromagnet.mp4
- New texture for the Electromagnet body, pillars, coils and Antigrav Columns. Only the current lines glow; the rest takes world light.
- New window and JEI view.
- Magnet recipes can now take a fluid.
Weapons and armor
armor_weapons.mp4
- Energy Blade: 15 damage, 100k FE. Shift + right click switches between Cut, which ignores part of the target's armor, and Arc, which hits everything in front of you. With Nexite armor it shares the suit's charge and turns the damage your armor absorbed into a counter-strike on your next hit.
- Gauss Rifle: hold to charge through three stages for 24, 48 and 90 damage, piercing more targets at each stage. With Plasma armor it charges twice as fast, and the third stage releases the armor's blast.
- Nexite and Plasma armor use a new 3D power suit model.
- Electric Drill and Industrial Drill have a 3D model in hand with a spinning bit, a running sound and a slight push while digging. The Electric Wrench has a 3D model in hand too.
A new look for machines
machines.mp4
- All base machines and the Machine Casing were retextured, with 27 new work animations.
- Machine windows were redone: frames tinted per machine, recessed slots and tanks, new energy, heat and progress bars.
- Cultivator and Restructor have 3D models. Crates and Fluid Barrels got new models too.
machine_guis.mp4
Tier 2 machines and the Bioreactor
- Cultivator T2 and Restructor T2 run three independent lines in one block. Restructor T2 uses half the inputs.
- Bioreactor makes mob drops without mobs: Biomass, water and heat, plus an additive that decides the result. Slime Ball, Bone, Gunpowder, Leather, Ink Sac, Ender Pearl and Blaze Rod.
Cables and logistics
cables.mp4
- Power cables have a new 3D model: a graphite duct with a colored core for each tier.
- Item Hub and Fluid Hub have a new model and one window for all six sides.
- Logistics Node has a new model and a window with a list, a mini map, and drag to reorder priority.
Progression and new items
Recipes were rebuilt into one step-by-step chain, from the first Electric Motor to the Heart of Voltex, the final trophy crafted in the Industrial Electromagnet.
- New crafting items: Transistor, Control Unit, Servo Drive, Copper Solenoid, Solder, Glass Fiber, Resonance Matrix, superconductor wire, strand and solenoid, Armor Sheet, Iron, Crystal and Emerald Clusters, Biomass, Condensate Ampoule, Voltex Ingot and Voltex Plate. The Advanced and Extended Electric Motors are now craftable.
- Five new fluids: Mechanical Alloy, Photonic Melt, Cryoplasma, Voltex Essence and Molten Lead.
- More uses for the machines you already have: ingots crush back into dust, the Ore Washer takes raw metals and sand, coolant no longer needs lapis, and the Phase Splitter, Restructor and Cryo Chamber got new recipes.
- Resin Sapling grows Tree Resin in the Cultivator.
- New Raw Aluminum Block.
Guide and advancements
- The Information Panel is now a wider tablet with chapter tabs, search and links: 11 chapters and 103 entries in plain language, with 3D previews of the big machines.
- 30 advancements in a Voltex tab, from your first machine to the Heart of Voltex.
Fixes
- Panel Combiner output no longer overflows above about 2.1 billion FE/t.
- Restructor no longer overfills its output slot.
- Small Miner with the End lens now produces End materials.
- Cryo Chamber always picks the right recipe between Cryo Crystal and Condensate.
- Machine energy always stays within capacity.
Updating from 2.1.0
- No blocks or items were removed, so existing worlds load without missing entries.
- The single-block Industrial Blast Furnace is now called Small Blast Furnace. The name Industrial Blast Furnace belongs to the new multiblock.
- Many existing recipes changed: machine casing, early machines, solar panels, catalysts, cryo and miner parts, Graviton Magnet Coil and more. Check JEI.
- Removed recipes: Crystal Ingot in the Blast Furnace, two Restructor recipes (Kronit now comes from the Cryo Chamber), and sand to Mineral Dust in the Ore Washer.
- Plasma armor pieces now need the matching Nexite piece.
- Restructor recipes no longer have a processing time: item plus energy gives the result.
- The client option
showMachineItemwas removed. - For pack makers: KubeJS schemas now cover every machine, including the Industrial Assembler, Bioreactor, Electromagnet and Cryo Chamber. Recipes for the Industrial mode of late machines are marked with
.lateOnly(true).
