v0.1.0-rc.15 — privacy-safe keyboard evidence

Choose a tag to compare

@k1412 k1412 released this 14 Aug 13:19

Changes

  • Record cumulative Cardputer key activity by privacy-safe functional group: navigation, confirm/back, shortcuts, direct entry, and repeat.
  • Never retain or emit individual key values.
  • P0 now requires positive, internally consistent coverage of every control group and at least one held-key repeat.
  • Added unit, evidence-auditor, real demo-log, and negative P0 coverage for the new counters.
  • English and Simplified Chinese README pages document the new evidence boundary and remain packaged.

Verification

Remaining release gate

This is a prerelease. A physical Cardputer Zero 30-minute P0 run and final Store install verification are still required before a stable release.

v0.1.0-rc.14 — superseded by v0.1.0-rc.15

@k1412 k1412 released this 14 Aug 13:07

Changes

  • P0 resource sampling now records the Cardputer Zero board battery present flag and power-supply status on every sample.
  • Evidence validation rejects a mid-run absent battery, missing status, or any status outside the official Linux power-supply values.
  • Successful summaries report the observed charging-state set alongside capacity, voltage, and current ranges.
  • Added an end-to-end collector regression using a running fake app, plus invalid mid-run presence/status coverage.
  • English and Simplified Chinese README pages remain included in the repository and Debian package.

@k1412 k1412 released this 13 Aug 18:45

RC9 strengthens Store-installed hardware validation and makes USB failures actionable on the 320×170 interface.

Highlights:

  • Localized USB permission and device-busy states across all ten languages
  • Replug/close-other-SDR recovery guidance instead of a generic device error
  • P0 schema v2 checks the installed ARM64 app, librtlsdr0, plugdev membership, the distro udev rule, accessible USB High-Speed, framebuffer, keyboard, and ALSA
  • 60 locale screenshots and eight deterministic receiver/failure states
  • Complete Simplified Chinese README, also included in the Debian package
  • Transient local and CI build paths removed from the device binary
  • No app-owned udev rule, maintainer script, root service, network requirement, or cloud dependency

@k1412 k1412 released this 13 Aug 18:22

Hardware-validation candidate; this is not yet an App Store release.

这是实机验证候选版,尚未在 CardputerZero 应用商店上架。

Highlights:

  • Passes the digest-pinned install-path policy from the authoritative CardputerZero/packages repository.
  • Replaces the rejected app-owned system udev rule with the Debian 13 librtlsdr0 dependency, whose distribution package owns the RTL-SDR USB rule.
  • Installs no root system service and no pre/post maintainer scripts.
  • Uses Debian package revision 0.1.0-2, so RC7 installations can be upgraded reliably.
  • Keeps the complete Chinese README linked from the repository home and packaged inside the .deb.
  • Audits current Store dependency resolution and official image plugdev membership; a Debian 13 ARM64 simulated install resolves the complete dependency chain.

RC7 is superseded for Store preparation because its application-owned udev location is rejected by the current Store install-path policy.

Physical Cardputer Zero USB, audio, controls, display, thermals, and 30-minute stability remain the P0 release gate tracked in issue #1.

@k1412 k1412 released this 13 Aug 17:56

[!WARNING]

Superseded by RC8. RC7 contains an application-owned udev path rejected by the current CardputerZero Store policy; do not submit RC7 to the Store.

Hardware-validation candidate; this is not yet an App Store release.

Highlights:

  • Honors the official Launcher display handoff: LV_LINUX_FBDEV_DEVICE, then inherited APPLAUNCH_LINUX_FBDEV_DEVICE, then the compiled /dev/fb0 fallback.
  • Makes the packaged non-root P0 preflight resolve the same framebuffer path and verify its matching sysfs node is native 320×170.
  • Adds host regression coverage for framebuffer precedence plus redirected-P0 checks for both APPLaunch and LVGL overrides.
  • Pins the current official Cardputer Zero v0.0.4 BSP to its published SHA-256 and verifies both fresh downloads and cached archives.
  • Records audited Template, Launcher, AppBuilder, dtoverlays, and BSP revisions in the upstream compatibility guide.
  • Keeps the complete Chinese README and its prominent repository-home link in the package.

@k1412 k1412 released this 13 Aug 17:44

Hardware-validation candidate; this is not yet an App Store release.

Highlights:

  • Aligns input discovery with the current official APPLaunch runtime: inherited keyboard environment, stable TCA8418 by-path node, then a single strict full-control evdev fallback.
  • Rejects unrelated/partial input devices instead of binding every event node.
  • Matches APPLaunch key repeat in userspace (500 ms delay, 50 ms cadence) because the official TCA8418 device tree does not enable kernel EV_REP.
  • Automatically uses kernel repeat instead if a future keyboard node advertises EV_REP, preventing duplicate repeats.
  • Tightens P0 preflight to require native 320×170 framebuffer geometry, the preferred Cardputer keyboard path, and an accessible ALSA playback PCM node.
  • Keeps repeats limited to continuous tuning and settings-row movement; toggles, confirmation, direct entry, and page changes remain one action per press.

@k1412 k1412 released this 13 Aug 17:34

Hardware-validation candidate; this is not yet an App Store release.

Highlights:

  • Adds packaged cardputerzero-sdr-p0 non-root preflight for framebuffer, Cardputer input events, RTL-SDR USB-node access, ALSA, memory, and thermal facts.
  • Adds a bounded 30-minute evidence run with private output permissions, CPU/RSS/temperature samples, clean shutdown, early-exit detection, and a 10-second forced-stop fallback.
  • Evidence intentionally excludes hostname, network state, and USB serials.
  • Handles SIGINT/SIGTERM through the normal UI, receiver, audio, and device cleanup path.
  • Expands host coverage to 13 tests and validates the P0 tool inside the final ARM64 package.
  • Updates both English and Simplified Chinese README pages and the physical-device test procedure.

@k1412 k1412 released this 13 Aug 17:21

Hardware-validation candidate; this is not yet an App Store release.

Highlights:

  • Adds flushed, timestamped receiver-health diagnostics for IQ throughput, RF errors, reconnects, audio output, DSP timing, and UI-loop stalls.
  • Adds a tested 30-minute P0 log summarizer with explicit real-time thresholds.
  • Skips WFM demodulation while muted or when audio is unavailable, preserving CPU for RF visualization.
  • Expands ALSA recovery/failure metrics and host coverage to 11 automated tests.
  • Updates both English and Simplified Chinese README pages and the physical-device test plan.

@k1412 k1412 released this 13 Aug 17:08

Third Cardputer Zero hardware-validation candidate. This build queries the connected RTL-SDR tuner for its real discrete manual-gain profile, supports the FC0012 negative-gain steps, and defensively normalizes hardware requests. It also constrains Linux key repeat to continuous tuning/list movement, preventing held Enter or G/M/L/T keys from oscillating pages or values. Mutable settings now live only in the user XDG configuration directory.

Validation passed: 10 host tests, 50 locale/audio-state screenshots, 6 deterministic receiver states including manual gain, TrueType/glyf font validation, repository-default immutability, Store asset validation, and ARM64 package inspection.

This remains a pre-release. Physical Cardputer Zero RF/audio, USB power and permissions, thermals, keys, and sustained performance must pass issue #1 before App Store submission.

@k1412 k1412 released this 13 Aug 16:55

Second Cardputer Zero hardware-validation candidate. This build adds graceful audio-only degradation: live RF and spectrum continue when ALSA cannot open or suffers an unrecoverable write failure, while the radio and settings screens show a localized NO AUDIO state.

Validation passed: 9 host tests including startup/runtime audio failures, 50 locale and audio-state screenshots, 5 deterministic receiver states, TrueType/glyf font validation, Store asset validation, and ARM64 package inspection.

This remains a pre-release. Physical Cardputer Zero RF/audio, USB power and permissions, thermals, and sustained performance must pass issue #1 before App Store submission.
