BamDude 0.7.1 strengthens everyday farm operation and adds richer previews and order planning. Plate-swap decisions now follow the actual print file, unresolved print-state conflicts can be reviewed from System, and several Telegram, smart-plug and update problems are fixed.

Before upgrading a swap farm: older archives have an unknown swap declaration. Review their declaration before requesting BamDude's swap macros. Previously queued jobs with unknown sources may fail before dispatch and need review and Retry. Inspect the plate before resuming a held queue; uncertain swap outcomes are held instead of sending the command again.

Highlights

  • Pictures of individual printed parts, rendered from sliced G-code in the filament's colours, across products, orders and stock; your own photos remain available.
  • STEP/STP thumbnails through isolated OpenCascade processes, in the background with slicing priority. Docker images and the Windows installer include the component; native Linux/macOS installs opt in with install/step-preview.sh enable. An ordinary manual Python dependency install does not add it. STEP 3D viewing is not included.
  • Safer swap handling: declarations travel with captured file bytes, operator declarations are content-bound, and interrupted or failed table changes hold the queue with a reason instead of replaying commands.
  • Print-state diagnostics and addressed repairs on System, with a preview before confirmation and deletion only for records proven safe. Repairs preserve archives and accounting.
  • Whole-plate order quantity adjustment, stock/capacity review, whole-order and per-line Auto Queue actions, model-specific print parameters and more resilient saved plans.
  • Operator-availability forecasts, including overnight and daylight-saving transitions, without changing real dispatch.
  • Farm reliability fixes: recurring smart-plug schedules, print energy accounting, fresh Telegram camera captures, notification screenshots, Telegram defect-count replies and queue names, and printer toolbar filters.
  • Polygon plate detection with explicit pauses when the requested analysis is unavailable.
  • More reliable previews and installation: bounded startup recovery, cancellation that waits for owned processes, safer Windows service replacement, and native updates that preserve file ownership and the CAD bundle needed for rollback.
  • Native amd64/arm64 Docker release builds, checked before tagging; pinned Node 24.22.0 for supported 64-bit platforms and Node 22 for 32-bit ARM part thumbnails. STEP corresponding-source archives accompany this release.

Thanks @UVCXanth for the order-planning contributions and @mikeburbey for the swap-source report and proposal.
