Kalandra 0.13.0 — Clio, revived

Kalandra revives Clio as a functional language and framework for parallel and distributed applications.

This development preview includes:

• A rebuilt TypeScript/Chevrotain compiler producing JavaScript modules and source maps.
• Typed worker calls, Sia 2 serialization, nested scheduling, cancellation, and deadlines.
• Experimental typed remote services and generated client contracts.
• A Bun CLI with project creation, checking, build/run/watch, formatting, and documentation commands.
• A language server and a Tiramisu documentation site with a browser playground.

Install from npm

Install Bun 1.3.12 or newer, then run:

bun add --global @kalandra/cli@0.13.0
kalandra new my-app
cd my-app
kalandra run src/main.kalandra --strict

The starter returns [2, 4, 6]. The package also includes kalandra-lsp.

The npm package is published and verified through a fresh registry installation. Its checksum matches the attached archive. The website deployment is a separate release step. Remote services remain experimental. This is a fresh start using .kalandra files, with no Clio migration layer.

Clio's history, tags, contributor acknowledgements, and Apache 2.0 license are preserved. Thanks to everyone who contributed to Clio and supported its continuation.
