A small update to 0.2.0: no more padlocks.

• The mask list only shows the masks you have (MESH and X).
• GLITCH works out of the box with no locked settings.
• The third tab is now EXTRAS: previews of what n0face PRO adds (five more masks, accessories, customization) and why it exists. Everything that protects you stays free.

Run this installer over 0.1.0 or 0.2.0; your settings carry over.

Good to know

• Mask mode is decorative, not protection. It shows your facial geometry, expressions and (with BLUR) a blurred face. Use anonymize if you need to hide who you are. No mode hides your voice, hair, body or room.
• The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway. SHA-256 checksum below.
• Processing videos is slow (roughly 10x the video's length).

n0face 0.2.0

Fixes the 0.1.0 installer, which crashed on start ("No module named 'matplotlib'"). If you installed 0.1.0, just run this installer over it.

What's new

Masks

• MESH and the new X mask (spray-painted X eyes and a stitched grin that follows your smile) are drawn sharp on your face in 3D instead of as blurry textures.
• BLUR / SOLID under the mask: a heavy blur of your face under the design (default), or a solid backing that hides it completely.
• GLITCH: random distortion bursts that tear and warp the mask.
• STATUS HUD switch for the ID / CONF / STATUS box, now in the MASK tab.

Detection

• A second on-device model (pose) finds your head when the face model can't: looking down at a guitar, keyboard or phone, or turned away. Your face stays covered instead of flickering or being hidden.
• No more mask jumping onto your hands.
• Smoother tracking: the mask no longer twitches.

Look

• Graffiti headings and a new TOXIC theme.

Windows 10/11 (64-bit): n0face-setup-0.1.0.exe below. Installs for your user only, no administrator prompt, with a normal uninstaller.

To use n0face as a camera in Discord, Teams, Zoom or OBS, also install OBS Studio (it provides the virtual camera driver; OBS doesn't need to be running). The preview and photo/video processing work without it.

What's in it

• Live webcam → virtual camera with masks that replace your face, not blur it
• Privacy modes: mask (decorative), obfuscate, anonymize (covers the whole head, renders no facial geometry)
• Fail-closed: if your face isn't found, the whole frame is hidden instead of shown
• Photos and videos: masked copies with metadata (EXIF/GPS) and audio removed; originals are never touched
• Masks: mesh, LED, circuit and hex, optionally 3D-wrapped around your face, rendered on CPU or GPU
• Interactive 3D preview of every mask on a generic face model
• Local only: detection runs on your device; networking is disabled while the app runs; no accounts, no telemetry, no recording of the live camera

Honest limits

No mode makes you unidentifiable: body, voice, clothing, background and behavior can still identify you. mask mode is decorative and follows your facial geometry. See the README's privacy table and docs/PRIVACY.md.
