How do I create a compound conversion?

On the Convert tab, switch to Compose mode using the segmented control. Tap the + Add button to add units to the numerator or denominator (per-unit) sections. For example, to convert USD/gallon to CNY/liter:

  1. Under FROM, add Currency: USD as the numerator and Volume: gal as the per-unit
  2. Under TO, add Currency: CNY as the numerator and Volume: L as the per-unit
  3. Type a value and see the result

Why do I see a "no match" error in Compose mode?

Each dimension in the FROM side must have a corresponding dimension in the TO side. For example, if FROM has a Currency and a Volume, TO must also have exactly one Currency and one Volume. The app shows which specific dimensions are missing.

How do I save a conversion to Favorites?

Tap the star icon in the top-right corner of the Convert tab. The star fills in to confirm the save. Tap it again to remove the conversion from Favorites.

Can I convert directly from the Favorites tab?

Yes. Each saved favorite has its own input field. Just type a value and the result appears instantly.

Where do the exchange rates come from?

Exchange rates are sourced from the European Central Bank via frankfurter.app. Rates are updated every weekday around 16:00 CET. If frankfurter.app is unavailable, the app falls back to the ECB's direct XML feed.

How often are rates refreshed?

By default, rates refresh daily. You can change this in Settings to hourly, every 6 hours, every 12 hours, daily, or weekly.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Exchange rates are cached on your device. When offline, the app uses the most recently fetched rates. A banner appears on the Convert tab if rates are older than your configured refresh interval.

Why can't I use Temperature in compound conversions?

Temperature conversions are non-linear (they involve an offset, not just a multiplier). For example, 0 degrees C is 32 degrees F, not 0 degrees F. This makes temperature incompatible with compound unit math, which assumes linear scaling. Temperature works in Simple mode as a standalone conversion.

Does Fxxk The Imperials collect any data?

No. Fxxk The Imperials does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All data stays on your device. There are no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs.
